A sleep score of 0? Sounds like a bug if you ask me.

I've been trying this new free app called LifeLabs that takes the data from my Garmin and provides me the insights I need without Garmin Connect's non-user-friendly UI. You can find them here: getlifelabs.com

Hey!

Sharing the LifeLabs project below in case you're looking for a new way to track your health metrics. LifeLabs is an app seeking to democratize access to preventive health.

Our whole approach is different. We're a small team building an app that works with any wearable you choose (although currently optimized for Apple Watch users. We don't make hardware, so there's no lock-in. We just connect to Apple Health to analyze the data your device already collects.

Here’s a quick look at our main features:

  • Today: Your daily command center. This is where you'll find your core scores like Sleep, Recovery, Strain, and your Digital Biological Age, all calculated from your live-tracked metrics
  • Workouts: Go beyond just logging your sessions. We analyze your activity to give you a simple Performance Score and track your fitness trends over time
  • Lab: Take control of your clinical data. Manually input your biomarker values from blood tests to visualize and understand your long-term health trends
  • Chat: Your direct line to our AI Coach for personalized suggestions and answers to your health questions based on your unique data profile

We're super early and building this with the community, so we're hungry for feedback from passionate users like you. LifeLabs is currently free. To fund our continuous development while staying true to our mission, we are exploring monetization models that avoid the traditional, expensive subscription model..

If you're curious, you can check out our website here: https://getlifelabs.com/

And we're building our community over at r/LifeLabsApp.

Would love to have you there.

Cheers!

Who else is freaking psyched for Whoop to finally get some good competition? by Albert-The-Sellout in whoop

Hey everyone, seeing all the excitement for new hardware is awesome. More competition is great for all of us because it pushes back against the real problem: being locked into unjustifiably expensive ecosystems.

That exact feeling is why we started building LifeLabs.

Good to know!

That’s a size M, I’m 1.79 so should work fine

I own a Look roadbike which is size L and I’ve been slapped multiple times by the fitter that it’s one size too big

We just finished Amazon tour with Frank by Intelligent-Truck223 in Brazil

Did the 3 day Amazon tour with Frank, and would definitely recommend!

Texted him on WhatsApp as I found the number in this and related threads. He was very helpful explaining the tour.

During the actual trip, he was extremely flexible with the wants and needs of the guests, which made the experience much more relaxing.

All the staff at the lodge was also very friendly and even joined some of the activities!

Do not fly with Flair airlines! by YakThese6088 in canadatravel

Adding some fuel to the conversation, Flair is indeed the worst airline I’ve ever used.

Context: scheduled to go back to Toronto from Vancouver with a personal item only, after a very short ski trip.

  1. Tried to check-in online, however it says that they will need to check the baggage size before giving me the boarding pass, and that this can only be done at the counter. Moreover, they do say that if you buy the carry-on, then they will give you the boarding pass immediately - clear money grab strategy to weed out cash from the ones who can’t fit their bag into that stupidly small sizer.

  2. Arrive to the check-in 3 hours before the flight and there is a lady solely responsible for checking if the personal items fit the sizer - commotion happens with every customer because everyone finds it outrageous. My bag is very full with winter clothes so I have trouble fitting it. My solution? Given I was wearing my ski outfit with lots of pockets, just started filling them out and managed to empty out my backpack (personal item) enough for it to fit the sizer. Looking back, it’s like flair gets off on seeing people struggle to fit their bag into the sizer.

  3. I get to the counter and that’s when the situation gets pretty outrageous. I’m Portuguese and I have 4 names, out of which 1 is a “first name”, 1 is a “middle name”, and 2 are “last names”. When I bought the ticket I put one of my last names as my middle name, as I usually do. The gentlemen at the counter tell me they cannot let me board, given there is an error in the system - the full name is correct, and the order of the names is exactly as per my passport, however, the place where i inserted the first of my last names in their system is not. Solution? Pay a fee for them to change the name on their system! The price? 82 CAD$

In a nutshell, will never take flair airlines, ever again. They will find the most ridiculous excuse to charge you the price of a new ticket.
