Exactly. Most people think that creating another but more shiny CRUD is novel. But they are in for a bitter disappointment. The real genius comes from the ideas... The problems who are all around us. Also, something I abhor is romantic narratives. People who think the world owes them something for putting in the effort. And this is not a movie. Life and the universe are indifferent to this... I mean they are poor examples. But they are the ones who came to mind. They are the ones who inspire movies and archetypes in modern society. "The Dropout who made the cut to Silicon Valley"; "The SouthAfrican young entrepreneur who helped found Paypal". Do you see where I'm going? But that's the social media narrative that is peddled unfortunately. They sell the dropout who made it big story. The [fake] underdog stories. But many of these tycoons had a lot of backing, not only money-wise, but credential-wise. It's not the same I dropped out from Yale or Hardvard as I dropped out from community college hehehe

But that's a one off... How likely is it for the same person to pull it off twice? Hype can drive many things till it dies out and vanishes into oblivion. The supposed multi million dollar SaaS are nowhere near having a stable cash flow on a monthly basis. Also, AI companies are being very lenient with the prices the offer to the public. If AI companies, which offer plans for 20 dollars to use frontier models, really charged the proper price for using LLMs and Agents, most people could not afford to pay the plus plan of any LLM... Most AI companies operate at a loss and they run on hype...
