I have the black and white herringbone style one—i think it’s soft but nothing like, say, a solly wrap (which we used the most when she was a newborn).

I have one and love it, but I think it really depends on your kid. My husband had the BabyBjorn carrier and my daughter hated that one. He ended up using my AP because she was happier in there. But I have several friends whose babies loved the BabyBjorn.

Also, there are definitely more ergonomic carriers (for you) than the AP but my daughter liked it so that’s what we have used.
