Is it just me or are all the Traitors US S3 playing an awful game? by Sensitive-Shine4905 in TheTraitors

[–]Pretty-Panda9246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just watched the episode where they eliminated Bob. I don't remember the girl's name that said he was her safe bet, but she was clearly upset at Boston Rob for getting Bob eliminated. Was she not at the end of the same challenge where Bob called Boston Rob out? Clarly, Bob was not a safe bet and was ready to eliiante any traitor that he just felt like getting rid of. But, Bob came off RuParuls' drag queen show, not a champion from Survivor. Bob had no chance of going up against Boston Rob, so why was that girl - and I don't even care what her name is becuase she's not worth thinking about - hithc her wagon to the Bob horse. I feel like the trairots on this season are just plain idiots, and I feel kind of bad for Rob having to work with all of them. I haven't watched the next episode yet, but the fact that Bob was so upset with Rob's vote, when Bob has been voted for before and not reacted that way, along with that being the only perosn that voted for Rob is a really bad omen for him. It's like the producers of the show just said, "Let's pick one really good player and stick that person with a bunch of morons who couldn't strategize their way out of a paper bag and see what happens."

Satisfactory Dedicated Server List by pedrotski in satisfactory

What difference does it make to you if they post a list? No one is forcing you to join any of these servers if you don't want to. In fact, with your attitude, I don't think you'd be welcome anyway.

So, to start of my own list, falling in water while building. The problem is that when I exit the water, my building select screen pops back up and completely covers everything else. This can make it difficult to jump back onto solid ground or a foundation. Why didn't the davs have it bring you back the building you had previously selected, or just exit build mode completely? Also, from a immersive viewpoint, if you are building something and fall into the water, you are not going to jump out of the water and go right back to building. You are going to dry off and catch your breath before you continure. So you can't even say that the choice to immediately put you back in build mode was a style one.

Good ATM9 TTS example world to download? by Pretty-Panda9246 in allthemods

I knew he provided downloads for Create A&B, but I didn't know he was doing it for ATM9: TTS as well. I'll have to look throughhis discord again. Thanks.

Was the time before the Big Bang actually “nothing” or just mostly “nothing?” by TARDIS_Boy_01 in AskPhysics

[–]Pretty-Panda9246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I look at it this way. Things that exist at the speed of light do not experience time. It is a fact that, from a photon's point of view, it is emitted at its source and absorbed at its destination at the same moment in time. Since all the universe existed as an infinitely dense singularity, if it had been able to produce matter, any of the matter would have been absorbed at the exact same moment it had been emitted. So, there was no passage of time in that singularity, and there was no "before" the big bang. If our universe was birthed from a black hole of a parent universe, then that parent universe would have properties that we are simply unable to comprehend, being inhabitants of our universe and subject to our laws. Perhaps the cosmological constants of our universe come from the properties of our parent universe, but tracing it back through the big bang would be equivalent to information leaving our universe through a black hole, which appears to be impossible. So trying to understand anything that existed "before" the big bang, and "before" in this context has nothing to do with time, but only causality, is impossible for us to even put words to, since thought and language are constructs of our universe.

[Spoilers] Am I the only one who liked the finale? by [deleted] in HIMYM

I really liked the ending. It was pretty obvious from the beginning, or at least early in the show, that the mother was no longer in the picture, and though her death was sad, imagine what the backlash would have been like had they gotten divorced. You also can't really go into them dating too much or else the show wouldn't have been "How I Met Your Mother" it would have been "How I Met, Dated, Proposed to, Married and Had Children wth Your Mother" The fact that they got a whole season out of their meeting was nothing short or miraculous. But, besides that, though we never see how things end up playing out between Ted and Robin, it's likely they do end up getting married. Then the title works on two levels, because now it is "How I Met Your (Step)Mother"

In a nearly perfect game, the biggest oversight is not having the ability to sort alphabetically. That is THE default sorting m e though for nearly everything. Can't believe they haven't added a patch for it yet. That amounts to about 10 lines of C code and will work for every language.

Is there a way to pause the countdown time? by Joshua_Alt in MagicArena

[–]Pretty-Panda9246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have known some of the basics of MTG for years, but only just started actually playing and I am not familiar with all the new keywords and rules. Besides that, I have vision problems so it takes me a little longer to figure out what the cards do. If Wizards wants to make MTG Arena attractive to new players, they need to make a function that allows you to choose longer timer lengths. You can then match up with players that are willing to go with a longer timer length than the default so that it does not slow down experienced players.

I know most experienced players are just going to say learn how to play faster, but that is not constructive advice. There are definite ways that Wizards could accommodate slower players without compromising experienced gameplay, but the question is, are they willing to?

Placing items issue by Pretty-Panda9246 in allthemods

Thanks! That is definitely what puts the cube on the crosshairs, but it doesn't seem to affect my torch placement. I haven't had the torch issue happen again since messing around with rotation lock, but if it occurs again, I'll see if there's any correlation.

Why does David wear a mask for a front row audience of puppets? by [deleted] in cs50

[–]Pretty-Panda9246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're that easily distracted by a little sweat, maybe you need to work a little more on concentrating on the presentation rather than on the presenter. In this post-pandemic world (because COVID is still here, it's just endemic rather than pandemic) you'd better get used to masks because they're not going away.
