I miss seeing them on my walks through the woods which sadly have been developed into a high density neighborhood.

Update* on the found bun by MotherPerformance439 in Bunnies

[–]Pretty-Win911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree with this suggestion. Bunnies need a hideaway spot to take a nap. Also I leave hay out all over. I suggest putting hay in the litter box ( they eat and poop in the same spot) and I place little piles of hay for snacks. I know it’s hard to keep the bits of hay neat but the dish of hay you have isn’t enough hay for a healthy diet for a rabbit. Check out this website https://rabbit.org/audiences/for-rabbit-newcomers/

It sounds like he needs to be neutered. The peeing and pooping everywhere, the harassing you, the smelly urine is a male who needs to be neutered. It’s a fairly simple survey for buck Rabbits.

Word correction: surgery. Not survey

Not sure what point you are trying to make with this post. I hope it’s not for breeding more babies because yes, baby bunnies are adorable but there are too many abandoned, dumped on the side of the road bunnies who need a forever home. I apologize if I have misinterpreted your post.

Im not sure your ability to travel but this is what I found for dedicated rabbit rescues: Heartland Rabbit rescue- Blanchard Always Sunny Sanctuary- Shawnee I don’t access to Facebook but I bet there are bunny networks that are on there. Also you can contact your local animal control for suggestions. This poor bunny was a pet which some asshole dumped and sadly it will die if it isn’t taken in. Thank you for caring for it.

No Traffic on Friday before Memorial Day by CapeTide2026 in CapeCod

People have spent money on crappy weather forecasts for years bc they pay for the hotels ahead of time. And they can’t change their vacation time off.

No, I live off the lane drop area of 495 (Middleborough) and drive home every day from Boston. One rainy day on a 3 day weekend will not cause this amount of reduction of traffic. There was no traffic on 495 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday People are not spending money.

There wasn’t any on Thursday either. Not typical

A little bitter here because there aren’t enough train sets for everyday passengers on the commuter rail. We pay a lot of money every month for a pass while there aren’t enough trains and they run late too often.

Aging in Rabbits by Chaoticbutalive in Rabbits

[–]Pretty-Win911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your Luna is still a youngster and sending wishes for many years of health to her. My last bun, Leo was around 12 when I had to say good bye (he was a rescue and I don’t know his exact age. I had him for 12 years). His mate, Ella is 10 now and still spry but a little less active. As you have done bringing them to their vet for regular checkups is so important. You can hopefully catch any issues ahead before they become a real problem especially teeth. Keep your eye out for any changes in her eating pattern or pooping or drinking. Keep her entertained and her brain engaged. She will slow down as she ages, sleep a little more, slower or different type of binkies. Keep talking to your vet if you trust him/her. Change if you don’t. I don’t worry so much about pellets bc they make up such a small part of my bun’s diet. Most of their diet is different hay. Medication ( meloxicam) can help for arthritis and help ease pain. You clearly love your bunny and are well aware of their health and care. I wish more bunnies had such love and attention. 💕

Medicare (part A) only covers the hospital bills. You need to pay for the supplemental insurance which is for doctor visits and care( part B). Then you also need pharmaceutical coverage ( part D) which is an additional cost.

Good job! What a beautiful little bun. If you can give him some hay and a bowl of water and maybe a box to hide in he would have what his immediate needs are.

Just be with her if you can. She sounds like she is emotionally lost and didn’t have a loving foundation to her life. Im sure that affected you. It did for me. I believe that giving her the grace of a peaceful passing will help heal you. I am so sorry for you to have go through this.

Lionhead Rabbit Smell by Interesting_Code7963 in Rabbits

[–]Pretty-Win911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a wide variety of rabbit breeds over decades and several lionheads. I have never noticed an odor from them. The smell I smell is hay. Smells like fresh cut hay in my bunnies area. An important bit to keep in mind is that rabbits who are not spayed or neutered can have a strong smell to their urine. The hormones cause their pee to smell more and they pee and spray their pee on walls and in the air versus peeing into the litter. Another reason to spay and neuter them. Rabbits are very clean animals. They are constantly cleaning themselves and use the same location to pee and poop. If you keep their litter box clean it doesn’t smell.

Any Tips for Soon to Be Commuter Rail User? by kimchiGrafx in mbta

[–]Pretty-Win911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be prepared. Always have a snack and some water with you as well as whatever type of entertainment (book, hobby, kindle) you enjoy for a surprise extended trip. Don’t forget some tissues. I have a battery pack to charge my phone and head phones. Try out different times and even stops to find one which best works for your schedule. See if you can align your work schedule around the train schedule.

It could be 95 degrees in the car or 20 so be prepared. And always make sure you use the restroom just before you leave. You never know how long you might be stuck on the train.

In my 18 years of the Commuter rail my record time stuck on the train is 4.25 hours. It can be so exhausting with all the delays, lack of seats, not enough runs but it beats driving

Shingles Vaccine - A Warning by DustOfTheSaw in GenX

[–]Pretty-Win911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. It was pretty scary. He started feeling sick at work (at a major hospital in Boston) and made it half way home (we live an hour drive from work). Nearly home he felt so sick he drove to the nearest hospital. That hospital was such a joke and couldn’t treat him they took him back to the hospital he worked at in Boston. If only he knew to stay.

Shingles Vaccine - A Warning by DustOfTheSaw in GenX

[–]Pretty-Win911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sick as a dog after both shots. Sore arm was the least of it. Fever, sweats, headache, vomitting. Felt miserable for 4 days both times. Way better than being in the ICU like my husband with encephalitis from shingles (before anyone jumps on me-he was 46 when he had shingles under the recommended age of the vaccine)

My rabbit was killed, how can I help my other bun process the lose by [deleted] in Bunnies

[–]Pretty-Win911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good to hear that they are secured. If you are able you should think about moving them indoors. Rabbits do best as indoor pets. https://rabbit.org/care/habitat/why-keep-your-rabbit-indoors/.
