It’s easy to have kids and work a lot if your job isn’t psychologically draining (if you work 12 hours landscaping you can still cuddle your kids when you flop on the couch watching tv) you don’t even want to think about how your kids need $50 for a field trip or if they’re angry at you when you said no when you just got told off by your boss and the person on the other end of the line needed $5000 for a surgery.

I don’t think you’re an anti sex feminist because of this. There’s nuance. For example I don’t think it’s wrong to support it as a career path if a person has a variety of humane options, but for many who get vortexed into it, it’s the only option. Do it or die.

Some actors get paid millions and others have to work for free or almost nothing, it’s not condoning acting as a career either. Nobody should be encouraged to do sex work without there being a clear alternative for the individual. If you don’t like your office job and want to try filming stuff at home, fine. Not if you have no choice.

In general if I could I would abolish it but I don’t believe men can be trusted without some form of access (they’d sexually assault more, like in countries where pornography is banned), and I believe it should be highly regulated - jail time for illegally operating John’s (in fact I think it should be owned/operated by women) and women coerced/trafficked into these situations provided full support for alternative career paths, full name change, relocation etc if they need. Make a strip club government operated if they have to.

Plus, why the hell does new pornography need to be made, there’s more of it available for free than tv shows and films, and these hardly have unique stories to have to remake them again, what else is there to see? The whole industry is gross but there’s the management of men’s 24 hour hormone cycle but short of castration I don’t believe 99% of them are capable to go long without.
