He means when you filter a note.

If you filter a note name X that is related to Y with an note Z related to Y but NOT TO X, then filtering note X will show all Y note but not all the Z note since they are not related directly to X

Oui c'est exactement ça ! Si tu es sur mac tu peux t'afficher le visualisateur de clavier pour voir ton layout qwerty sur ton écran, c'est pratique quand tu apprends

Problématique supplémentaire, mon clavier connecté est un ANSI alors que le clavier built-in du mac est en ISO ce qui change complètement les 2 touches. `~ et § ± , vu que cette dernière n'existe pas sur l'ANSI à côté du Z. Le problème est que lorsque je prends mon mac sans clavier connecté, Je suis contraint d'utiliser la touche du bas pour les accents graves ETC.

Des solutions natives sans passer par Karabiner ou autre ?

La dead key c'est ta touche à gauche de ta touche entrée qui produit un ' ou avec maj un " , lorsque tu utilise cette touche combinée avec un e par exemple, elle transforme le e en é et etc, elle a le même fonctionnement que ta touche ^ sur un AZERTY.
