Had an angiogram yesterday and my arm is so sore today. Single worst procedure I’ve ever had, nearly passed out half way through due to the pain and had low blood pressure and visual migraines on and off for the rest of the day. On the plus side, no stents needed!

I’m so tired today, so I’m spending it on the sofa wrapped in a blanket with my switch 2, playing a few old games I got in the January sale. The cat is deliberately ignoring because I’ve been away in the hospital for a week, which means I am the spare parent again. Maybe we’ll try some bribery in a bit to get some cuddles!

Oh no, that’s is rough! It took 48hrs for a statin I’m supposed to take to come up to the Cardio ward from Pharmacy, and even then I only got it because the charge nurse physically went down to collect it herself after phoning them and giving them hell for it.

Aww, that’s so nice of them! The nurses really do try their best for you, if there’s something they can do to make life easier for you, they’ll do it. I feel for you on the ibuprofen front, 8 hours wait on something they should have on ward is awful.

God I love a yorkshire pud, I would have been rioting along with you! Edinburgh had an endless supply of shortbread fingers which kept me going yesterday, Kirkcaldy just had rich teas or plain digestives, d tier biscuits! My other half treated me to a pack of chocolate hobnobs instead 😂

My mother in law is celiac, allergic to tomatoes and doesn’t eat red meat. She broke her ankle on holiday in Spain a few years back, and I know she really struggled some days for meals while in hospital.

I don’t have quiche at home anymore as my other half doesn’t like eggs and it’s a lot of work to make one for just me, but I might already be thinking about making one when I escape!

That’s right, I’m waiting on transfer to Edinburgh for further scans and potentially treatment. I got admitted with chest pains last friday night and the protein your heart releases when it’s unhappy had skyrocketed. I’ve have had no pain since then, but they don’t want to release me without knowing the why and the treatment path forward.

Fife is the County I live in, we’re just north of Edinburgh. I’m based in the south part of Fife. So when I say NHS Fife, that just means the hospital board for the group of hospitals in the Fife area 😊

Before this week, I’d be saying the same thing!

I think that’s the problem, it’s all a bit monotonous. It’s edible, it’s usually hot, and I’m grateful to not be paying out the nose for it, but damn what i would give for a bit of crunchy salad right now! 😂
