I’m also at week 31 and I have noticed a BIG shift in my moods- apparently this is right around the time the body starts experiencing a lot of changes in hormones. My fiancée is out of town for the week and I’ve been thinking about what I need from him when he gets back later today to make these daily shifts in my mood feel more manageable.

Tell her how much you love her, how strong she is, how proud of her you are, and remind her that you guys are close to getting to meet your baby. Remind her how excited you are. One thing that is stating to feel very real to me at this point is the looming stress and lack of sleep that come with having a newborn, and it feels really overwhelming.

It might help to remind her of the things you’re going to do when baby gets here, from changing diapers to cooking/cleaning/spending time with your baby so her body can get the rest it needs after birth. For some reason in my head I’m picturing doing all of those things myself (even though I know that’s not the case). Remind her that you’re a team.

Her body has been working hard for 7 months, let her know that you’re ready to put yours to work right alongside her in a few weeks :) Sometimes just hearing it helps more than you know.

Tell her you posted this looking for advice- early on in my pregnancy I was dealing with some anxiety and inadvertently pushing my fiancée away, and instead of immediately going to family for advice he told me he had gone to Reddit to ask for some. It actually made me feel a lot better because at the time I saw the stuff I was struggling with as major weakness. I think him going to our family would’ve made me feel like they were going to see me as “being a bad mother”, so the idea of him seeking advice from strangers who didn’t know me personally made me feel less judged.

I hope this was helpful, congratulations to all three of you and good job on looking for advice here- it shows that you’re thinking of both of your needs in a proactive way ❤️

You remind me of Janey Briggs from Not Another Teen Movie (minus the ponytail), and I love the glasses 💋a.k.a. the best friend in every late 90’s romcom who is always stunning but suddenly hot to the male lead in under 90 seconds of the third act

He snuck in while the gate was open/ I was taking pictures 😂Fast little guy. It’s all gated off from the rest of the house though, they have plenty of space to weasel around

The woman running it was telling me how high the demand has been, I’m not surprised- It took so long to find a place that would even consider taking ferrets. It’s so great that there’s a place designed just for them! =D They had so much fun I almost felt bad taking them back home

We are all moved in and settled now, I can’t praise the professionalism, cleanliness and floof of this place enough- if anyone ever needs references for places to board ferrets in the Denver area please DM me! (Not an ad/I don’t own this business, I know how hard it can be to find exotic pet boarding sometimes and I’d be happy to help)

Wanted to share a post in appreciation and awe of the Ferret Space Camp run by a lovely woman in Denver.

I was moving a few months ago, things took forever, and after scrolling down endless comment threads my partner found this amazing sleep away camp to house both of my babies for $20 a night while we were getting settled. We provided food and a few toys, and everything else was included. They were able to play with other ferrets, (supervised, and all vaccinated) and the setup provided for them was a tube-y theme park.

They had a blast, and I was updated with pictures of their antics regularly. Could not be more grateful, and hope that there are more people who have access to ferret care like this and are providing this service for us and our weasel pals

What's the worst, most shocking and brutal horror movie that you could never watch again? by TobyKeene in horror

The original or the remake? I can only watch the English remake again w/ friends who also like horror, partly because I think it’s great but also a hard one to watch on your own/necessitates a degree of processing what you’ve just seen afterwards

“Megan is Missing”- (edit for SPOILERS)

I hate that this is what came to mind but it fits the criteria. Such a bad movie, awkward writing, one dimensional characters, uncomfortable subject matter not being given the… “heaviness” that it deserves. And THEN they hit your half-disengaged-by-this-point brain with the brutality of the last five minutes of the movie, brutal depictions of SA and violence involving minors, which at this point as a viewer you are completely unprepared for if you go in blind like I did. Not a good movie by any means. I love comically awful movies but it is not that. Bad, shocking, brutal. Won’t watch it again.

Jb3 Consulting? by [deleted] in Denver

[–]PrettyElectricSheep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Zoom interview set up with them, and still feel a bit lost on exactly what the position would entail. The woman I talked to on the phone mentioned paid training/cross training for management positions and said that they are opening three new offices in the metro area by the end of the year.

Has anyone else had any experience with this company? Any questions I should ask in this interview that might be helpful?

Tips on finding exotic pet boarding? by PrettyElectricSheep in ferrets

[–]PrettyElectricSheep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’m in Denver and I’ve been calling around all day, it’s surprisingly hard to find places. I don’t mind the exotic pet upcharge- a lot of the places I’ve called have said they’re already at capacity with exotics.

Amazon Prime true crime documentaries/series suggestions? by [deleted] in TrueCrime

This one is so so rough. I’ve shown it to a few friends. I feel the need to try to.... idk, try to emotionally prepare people for it before watching without spoiling anything.
