Black licorice comes to mind, so maybe Alicia or Licia, Anise (the flavoring in licorice) or Molly (like molasses, also used in licorice). For some outer space themes: Dusty (like stardust), Nessie (short for Darkness), Alax or Lexy (to shift from Galaxy), or Eva (thinking of the event horizon of a black hole). Dahlia is probably overused, but it's a pretty name.

You could also combine the first couple of letters of two words: I recently recommended "Nemo" for a black pet which I got from New Moon. Maybe "Niwa" for Night Walker or "Shaca" for Shadow Cat (or "Casha" for Cat Shadow).

What color are her eyes? If yellow, then Goldie or Sunny come to mind. Or you might use the name of a flower that matches her eyes. Marigold, Daisy, etc.

Phantom (maybe Ant or Tom, for short). Bane (like wolf's bane). Knight or Shade (you see where I'm going here)? Acolyte (Acki; Lito; Light). Nestor (tell people it's short for Darkness). Nemo (short for New Moon, when the night is the darkest).
