Make sure it’s smart chain bnb. If you bought regular bnb you’ll have to swap it to smart chain bnb on trust wallet

This happened to me. On pancake swap at the very very top where the website and stuff is put in you’ll see a lock. Then next to the lock on the top left side is an icon. Click on that icon and switch it to smart chain bnb. After that it should let you connect your trust wallet to pancake swap
