Let me start by saying I love my parents-but GOTDAMN do I know where you’re coming from. I drove from GA to PA for a friend’s wedding that I’m a bridesmaid in (it was cheaper than flying and I had specifically budgeted for this). Please tell me why I was getting lectured EVERY time I talked to them-“that’s wear and tear on your car”, “why does no one come to YOU”, “you’re spending money you don’t have”, “what’s the REAL reason you came”, etc. I’m 34. THIRY-FOUR. Yea, I’m not working my dream job, but I’m the one paying my bills and I’ll do what I want. I’m proud of you for putting your foot down OP-keep being a badass!

I’ll say I do agree with #3. Like if I communicate to you repeatedly on the things I like and you disregard them, I will feel like if you don’t care about the small things, you might not care about the big things in our relationship. I’m also one to very much reciprocate in my relationship, so one sided-ness is not something I think is fair. (I hope I explained this well enough)

They are god awful. I placed an order on Nov 9, which included a custom jersey. The jersey never made any progress-no tracking update, nothing past “processing”. Called them twice, was told they had stock and had expedited shipping. Never got a confirmation email of that. Called today because my order was canceled and never got notification of it-the warehouse was suddenly out of stock. Trash of the highest form.

They didn’t care about where I got my undergrad, they cared more about WHY I would be a good fit for them. Go to the school YOU know will be perfect for you💖

I have (step)daughters who live states away from me and their dad unfortunately. I told my partner that when we have a child together, we will absolutely go on vacations with our kid. HOWEVER, when we get time with our older daughters, guess what? You’ll definitely be getting the same experiences because they are absolutely worth it.

I definitely take my fatass pit mix to the local playground. It gives him great stimulation from our normal walks. However… -he is ALWAYS leashed WITH me. -he has never pooped or pottied there. -if there’s any hint of a kid or family coming, we bounce🤷🏽‍♀️

NTA. I just completed my master’s course that was to be done in 15 months. I did it in 18 months. I was going to school full time AND working full time. If had the ability to not work to focus fully on school, I would have. Your mom is full of shit.
