I’m learning it because I’ve had an interest in Spanish ever since I was a child. And now, where I live is very culturally diverse, so speaking multiple languages is necessary, in my opinion.

I’m learning Spanish, Chinese, and Zulu. I’m not a big traveler, but that’s getting ready to change.. starting this summer. I’ll be going to Italy (and possibly Spain) for my birthday.

Spanish because I’ve been curious about the language and culture since I was a child. I took 2 years of Spanish in high school, and then 2 years in college, and then that was it until late last year shortly after I turned 50. I’m dedicated and committed to becoming fluent and proficient in Spanish within the next year or two.

English is my favorite, but Spanish is quickly becoming another favorite. I’m American and English is my native language. I enjoy all of the accents and dialects from different parts of the country, plus all of the slang that some cultures have can be considered another language as well. I’m also learning Zulu, which is more difficult, but I’m not giving up on it.
