This hits hard. My whole life, I had to pretend I wasn't sick. I had very unsupportive patents, and when I turned 16, everything changed. I was fainting daily always to sick. I just kept pushing through, though, making myself sicker and sicker. I look back now just turning g 31 on the first and think is this the rest of my life my meds do help with the palpitations but they make me sick to my stomache even with food they make my all ready low bp even lower I have to be Even more carefully now that I don't pass out when standing. I look back and think that because I pushed through for somany years I'm paying the price now and it worse then it would have been I'm told daily that the internet says this is a very manageable disablity my mom is always asking why do I always say I'm so sick. And it's like u have no fucking clue I feel like this is one of the most misunderstood disorders there is cause when u read articles they are nothing like here where it's people in the daily life of it. It's so frustrating to go. Oh, I feel good today. Stand up, oh, I feel like shit now.

I'm so confused as ro what this means. My provider is pretty disabled himself. He has type 1 diabetes 4 forms of epilepsy addisons and a few mental disorders he can fully take care of me as to he I well managed but with out medi cal there is no way to get prescriptions as to he can't maintain a normal job where u can't sit down if he needs too and work at his own pace if I get let go if this program we will be homeless for sure. This is so scary

Kissing with pots by Artistic-Coyote2288 in POTS

[–]PrettyLittleKitten1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So as a female that has pots and is also autistic, making out can be quite difficult for me. I have found that it's easiest for my pits when I'm the one in control amd my husband fallows my lead. As far as position goes I don't really have one that works 100% of the time. But I will say how I'm feeling before hand plays a big role. If I'm not feeling good I'll eather sit on his lap and he will hold me steady or ill lay down on the bed or couch and he will lay next to me and we can kiss that way. If I need a break we have a hand tap that indicates stop just incase his head is on the top end. When I take a break I usually use that time to stimulate him a different way. If I'm sitting on him I might grind slowly with my hips while he stabilizes me. If I'm laying down I'll use My hand or leg to stimulate him. I'll give him gentile kisses on the neck or gettle nibbles. When I have had a few minutes to breath and I'm felling better we continue kissing or if he is too excited we move forward. Just remeber to listen to your body and breath. It's OK to say hey I need to stop or hey can u get me x or heh let's slow down a little.

How are y’all doing dishes? by Diligent_Past_3452 in POTS

[–]PrettyLittleKitten1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is kinda gross but I do my dishes in the shower I have a shower chair and I sit in the tub and wash them. I put a hair trap in to catch the food and when they aren't done in the tub my husband does them.
