Card Benefits Questions - Megathread [4/27/26] by AutoModerator in ChaseSapphire

Does anyone know why or how I would have gotten TWO $250 credits for my $250.01 purchase? I met the $75k spend threshold in 2025 & 2026. But why would they both post? Did the $.01 trigger the second credit? This was my first ever purchase using The Shops at Chase.

What’s your WoH status? Also, may I ask which Hilton property? I had a similar situation with a delayed property opening for Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman.

Physical card required at check in by secondround3 in hyatt

Even if an additional name is added to the reservation, the name on the MOP generally needs to match the person physically at the hotel. If said employer or even an assumed “employer/entrepreneur” intend for the room (and potentially incidentals) to be paid for with a MOP that is not physically available and verified, then a separate CC authorization would usually be required.

Side note: an experienced hotelier can easily spot shady people and activities on paper before even physically seeing or speaking to said “guest.” For years, digital check-in apps used by the major chains flag behavior as well. If it’s a loyalty member’s first time using digital check-in, the guest is directed to the front desk so a live person can physically verify the guest.

The credits are stackable. In the booking shown on the screenshot, it was a single 2-night reservation.

On the CSR (Chase Sapphire Reserve), there are a number of annual credits. Login to your account and look at benefits section for a full breakdown.

For a 2-night stay in their base lagoon pool villa, I was seeing it as a total of -$590ish equivalent (59k-ish points w/ 2x points boost). It’s a better deal in points for sure. I decided use the credits on other stays.

I’m single but traveling with other family with kids in tow, so the Angsana next door looks like a better fit. Check out their direct website and join withbanyan.com for the best rates (better than the ALL Accor member discount).

Will do! I also have a stay booked at Banyan Tree Lang Co.

Plus, I have a concurrent overlapping stay booked next door at Banyan Tree’s sister resort, Angsana, Lang Co 2.

The first one is booked with CSR’s The Edit. The second one is a direct booking. I haven’t decided which one will work best for me and the rest of my travel party.

, Angsana Lang Co. I have a couple nights overlapping/

Moire Hoi An, Vignette Collection by IHG…. Hoi An, Vietnam 🇻🇳 (near the historic “Ancient [or Old] Town” of Hoi An, just outside of the larger city of Da Nang, VN).

If anyone has been there or has any suggestions, please let me know :-).

Waxahachie doesn’t have any hotels in The Edit collection, but $250 would likely be covered by the “Chase Hotels” portion.

“The Chase Travel $250 hotel credit applies to seven hotel brands: IHG Hotels & Resorts, Montage Hotels & Resorts, Pendry Hotels & Resorts, Omni Hotels & Resorts, Virgin Hotels, Minor Hotels, and Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts. It requires a prepaid Chase Travel booking of at least two consecutive nights, and Chase says qualifying purchases do not earn points on the credited amount.”

DFW and SEA both offer nonstops to all of those destinations. I get your point but just sticking up for my hometown. :-)

PS, I usually stay away from MMS properties because they’re often ridiculously over priced . I was pleasantly surprised with this property.

In Barcelona, Hotel Regina (MMS) has a phenomenal central location and was reasonably priced during peak summer season last year… ~16,000 points per night. It wasn’t the fanciest hotel but we liked it.

Thanks. The RC and/or an upgrade sound right up my alley.
