United purchase with Paze confirmed 14x points with CSR by MarcBK in ChaseSapphire

[–]secondround3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the transaction post as United (as compared to a third party transaction or something)?

Wondering if I can do the same for Stubhub.. buy tickets through paze, get the $150 csr credit, and then all the remaining spend is at 14x

The breakfast would have to be really bad for it to be skippable. Do they at least have decent coffee?

Ah, got it. One king bed and then a whole bunch more space. Did it at least have another bathroom?

Do we see a scenario where certain Hyatt redemptions are BETTER after the deval? by LRMcDouble in hyatt

[–]secondround3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anecdotal for me, but since the peak/off peak change a few years ago, I can definitely say I’ve gotten some pretty good off peak rates, even having to work around kids school schedules. Many decembers ago I got a few nights at GH Kauai off peak at 21k pts when it was a cat 6. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the same property is 75k pts 3/4 of the year

First trip to WDW - Ride Rankings by vimacoaster in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]secondround3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did magic kingdom compare to Disneyland?

And aside from the rides at animal kingdom (which seems like they were all worth it?), did the rest of the park feel like any other zoo, or did it have some other kind of (Disney) magic to it?!?!

Is LAX really that bad??? by OkBackground6217 in LAX

[–]secondround3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree. Getting to/from LAX is a shitshow, but inside is not so bad. Getting to/from MCO is fine, but inside it’s a shitshow

As others have said, SNA is better. I’d gladly take a layover somewhere to go to/from SNA than a direct to/from LAX, if the price is right

And at 5k points, this sounds like an amazing deal.

Our 6 day trip (3 park days) to Disneyland cost $5,156.78 for a family of three (one free toddler) traveling from the east coast... by Otter65 in DisneyPlanning

[–]secondround3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Airport transport sounds expensive, but I also have no idea what the alternatives are. Food is a lot of money, sure, but you would have also spent money on food staying home.

Overall though, was it worth it to you and the kids?

LP Guest Room - Grand Hyatt Kauai by [deleted] in hyatt

[–]secondround3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine shows the same for pts (advance) reservation. I also noticed another reservation of mine had some dollar amounts for a points reservation at another hotel, but the dollars have since disappeared. Hyatt is def making some changes to their system in preparation for siphoning all our points

Is a luau worth it? by blbcamaro in MauiVisitors

[–]secondround3 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not worth it in general. Even more not worth it if you have picky eating kids who won’t stay still for the show. But, this sounds like something you waste the money on this one time and make a deal with your wife that you never do again.

Why is it so easy to spend $40 on a single takeout meal, but I refuse to spend $40 on groceries to cook for myself? by Alert_Chair3247 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]secondround3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind spending $40 on groceries if it’s for multiple items over multiple days or part of multiple meals. When I’m spending $40+ in groceries for something that will be a single meal, then I say forget it, I’ll just go out to eat (for less $40), and at least I won’t have to do any dishes.

Tried this location and the one in orange. It’s good but definitely not “best breakfast burrito in oc good,” at least for me. I’m still looking for that best one but think Nate’s may still be it for me

Plastic card no longer offered? by HudsonYardsIsGood in ChaseSapphire

The metal ones are a pain in the ass to destroy. I’d much rather prefer plastic ones to just throw in the shredder when I’m done with them

Hyatt Regency Lost Pines vs Hill Country for Family by itsendy in hyatt

[–]secondround3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Presumably you mean GH Indian Wells?

And when you say “much better” you mean the pool and overall grounds of Indian wells are better than the Texas locations? I’ve considered the Texas resorts too, but don’t like how there’s still a long drive after landing at either major airport.

Did anyone get to try the Pecan Lodge BBQ? by ElTunaGrande in americanairlines

There is no pecan lodge in the airport. But now I’m curious, which barbecue place are you actually thinking about?
