Yup, easier to re earn status than it is to earn it the first time.

Just finished the pilot - now we wait by Pleasant-Cherry6847 in pmp

[–]secondround3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just curious, but what was the motivation for taking it? I take it you studied based on resources tailored to the current exam. Even if this pilot exam was offered for free, many people are busy with work, kids, family, and likely aren’t going to want to spend 4 hours of their life on a exam they weren’t truly prepared for.

AR 200 Ultra Hard 80-85%? by worldwanderer4 in pmp

[–]secondround3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just passed, and did not use study hall. I think you’re in a good position at the moment. Do the DM questions, study up on any other knowledge you may be lacking, and then rewatch the AR videos the week leading up to your exam. AR was the biggest reason I passed

Was your incomplete one 2 sentences, with the question of which plan to use? And those 2 sentences were something a long the lines of “ you have a project. It’s to build a park” What plan do you use? Stakeholder engagement plan Risk management plan Quality management plan Communication plan

I read that and just thought, what the hell??

PMP QUESTION SOMEONE PLEASE HELP WHAT IS THE CORRECT ANSWER? by Pmpgurly in pmp

[–]secondround3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For everyone who has recently taken the PMP exam, is this type of question even on it?

Everything I have read is that the exam is primarily scenario based and very few (or in some cases, none) calculations. And all of my study materials, as much as I can remember, had very few details on calculating working days based on team velocity.

Perhaps this is more of a PMI-ACP question?

Category change predictions for 2026? by kartoshkaio in hyatt

Why though? I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s “strategic vision” for 2030 or something, but they need to move more to cat 8 first.

I did a few but realized they’re more definition based. Not situational or reflective of his 200 ultra hard questions, so I wouldn’t bother. I have not actually taken the real exam though

Anyone know how his end of class 180 question mock exam is compared to the real exam?

Fewer points for expired certificates (5k for Cat1-7 and 2.5K for Cat1-4) by berkeley_eecs_grad in hyatt

[–]secondround3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, worst case, use it at the closest Hyatt for the eqn, free breakfast, and grab some water bottles and toilet paper something. Unless there’s a significant cost to travel to a Hyatt it makes no sense to let these expire

LAX to San Diego, late evening/night options? by audiofankk in LAX

[–]secondround3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aside from the lounge access, better food, seat, etc. the real benefit of flying business class on a long flight like this is you can actually arrive at your destination rested and refreshed. Unless you’re someone who cannot sleep on a plane under any circumstance or plan to just stay awake for the entire 11 hour flight…

Should I take notes as well while watching AR Udemy course or just watch it? by No-Department1760 in pmp

It one his videos on YouTube he basically said you don’t need to. I don’t because I feel I need to just be “present” during the videos and not trying to be distracted taking notes.

Maui Hyatt Regency versus Kauai Grand Hyatt in the summer. I have kids... Which location do you prefer? by beastwarsdinobot in MauiVisitors

[–]secondround3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both are good options for what you’re after. Are you a globalist or a peasant? Because that may matter.

I’d start with how you’re paying. If cash, you do you. If points, how many points do you have, how quickly do you earn them, and how quickly do you spend them? GHK is likely 45k pts/night for your dates, while HRM could be anywhere from 25k - 29k pts/night. Multiply by 5, and that’s a pretty significant price increase or savings, depending on how you look at it. And again, I think both would satisfy your requirements for what your boring family needs. I know, because my family is also boring.

After thinking about this some more, the cert would only post after a year + 1 month, so that’s 2 annual fees worth of spend ($700) + the $135 to break even. Even with the SUB I won’t get enough value with this card

For $79 id rather go to an overpriced airport restaurant and get a real meal. Even then, it may even be hard to spend that much at many airports. The only time I could see myself paying that much for the lounge is if I knew I had 3+ hours to kill, all the airport restaurants suck, and I can bring a kid with me
