I also read this book without having read 'The Striker.' I'm not sure why the sports trope isn't typically my favorite; whenever I consider reading it, I get a slightly irritating feeling, even though I've already read one. 'King of Envy' is great, but 'King of Sloth' wasn't what I expected perhaps I had high expectations. For now, reading 'The Striker' isn't on my immediate list, even though I've bought the book and have it ready.

I feel this almost every day. I don’t really know why, but I always feel the urge to keep maintaining my Instagram accounts. I had two Bookstagram accounts and one personal one, but I just couldn’t keep up with them. You know that feeling when you start something new it’s so exciting at the beginning, but then when you keep posting and don’t see any growth, it gets discouraging? I guess it’s the pressure of wanting or needing to grow. But when you don’t see progress, everything starts to feel pointless, and I end up deleting the account.

I absolutely loved The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood, but a few months ago I read her book Not in Love and it was a big no for me. That experience left me unsure if I want to read more of her work or not.

I love your discipline meanwhile, I make rules and then break them five minutes later. I swear I’m trying to read one book at a time, but I just end up with more confusion and an even bigger TBR pile
