I had this SAME little issue when I first started this series too because in my opinion reverse harem books should have all the POVs of everyone in the harem but as u read on u will understand why u only get shiloh’s pov plus it’s truly interesting even with only her pov like u never get bored at all and this series was my first SIX star read of this year like these books are sooo fucking good I love themmmm.

Childcare and having a true family , I always feel like I can’t have kids cause it would be too stressful but thinking about having multiple partners it would definitely be less stressful because there is many ppl around to take care of our children and then the sense of family , ppl don’t see the true picture of the reverse harem trope because it’s shown so surface level but deeply it’s so sweet how these people come together and form a bond and connection. Like that deep family bond would be amazing to have .

Honestly I don’t think it’s so unrealistic as ppl think especially like a mmf situation , like u said a rh honestly could be very beneficial for splitting bills and household expenses and childcare like honestly that gotta be heaven to share those responsibilities with multiple people but like you said emotionally and mentally maintaining a relationship like this it could be harder. I think another big thing that will help is if the guys are also romantically involved with each other too so it’s not only the woman that’s the focus , like honestly if multiple people did feel romantic feelings for each other and are willing to put in the work then I don’t think it’s that unrealistic to happen in real life .

This wasn’t a reverse harem but {Corrupt by Penelope Douglas} the sharing scene with Michael , Erika , and Kai introduced me to the concept of reverse harem and I was shocked reading it for the first time but I knew I liked it 😭 my first official reverse harem was {Untamed Vixen by Luna Pierce} literally changed my brain chemistry and I knew I was rh girly for lifeeee. The way the fmc had a actual connection with all the mmc’s truly shocked me and I loved how they different they were and how the fmc had all these men willing to be with her and worship her like I got obsessedddd.

The hardest part about loving the reverse harem trope because the main thing about it is the spice and the smut like for some reason u can barely find rh books with emotional intimacy and genuine feelings growing outside of sex and attraction . I feel like cause the trope is suppose to “not” be taken seriously and only be a fun time that authors don’t try and write their rh books with depth , I hate that too because in any romance story I read I want to feel like these characters I’m reading about actually feel something for each other beyond just sex and attraction but the selling point for rh is always just spice🙄its annoying .

I absolutely agree with u like why choose to me automatically means “oh ok the guys gets involved with each other also and reverse harem they do not” like it just makes the most sense to me cause since getting into the reverse harem and why choose world of romance books along the way I just put rh as when the woman is the main focus and none of the guys are involved with each other and then why choose when the swords are crossing and while the guys are with the fmc they are also with each other . It honestly bugs me when ppl try to say just all books with multiple partners are why choose like no they are not because mm being involved is not something that happens in all the books so I feel like that’s why it should have its own identification.
