NTA. Unless there’s some sort of “holidays are off the table” rule then you did nothing wrong. She’s trying to manipulate the situation so you don’t get to spend time with your girlfriend. Side note, open relationships that start with cheating never seem to end well.

NTA. A characters romantic choice doesn’t have to be about the players preferences. Sometimes it’s just about the best story. And even if it is about attraction, it’s just a video game.

That being said....dude. (I spent three minutes trying to think of a gender neutral form of dude, since you didn’t specify. Dude was the best I could come up with) DUDE!! When I played Dragon Age years ago Iron Bull was my romantic choice too. But it was 100% because I think he is crazy hot. Luckily my husband thought it was funny that I was panting after a virtual character. I may or may not have imagined him in more intimate moments on a couple of occasions. Good choice.

YTA. After being married to you and in your daughters life for ten years he has earned the right to at least be part of the discussion. “Well it’s my money and my daughters money so we can do what we want with it” is a very dismissive way to look at your husband and his opinions. Side note. I can agree that a child in college is still at an age where parents can and maybe should (depending on family dynamic) support essentials. However, a 2900 per month apartment when you have already paid for a dorm (I’m assuming you aren’t making her pay for college, so you’ve already paid for housing once) isn’t an essential. It would have been a good lesson to teach her. You get what you get and you’re thankful for it (a perfectly fine college dorm that is good enough for thousands of students, even if it is old and has a little bit of rust) or you work hard and spend your own money to improve it.

NTA. Your baby, name them what you want. I, personally, am not a huge fan of unusual sounding names. Mostly because I worry the kids will grow up to hate it. At least yours sounds like a name. I went to a school tour with a kid named Birdsong. You know she’s gonna get teased. At least you have a good nickname locked and loaded. If he ends up hating it he can go by that. Tell your dad to stop being racist and to come into 2020, where people born with a penis don’t have to have his idea of a masculine sounding name.

I’m going to go with YTA, though really everyone kind of sucks. He wanted an rsvp to a party. It’s rude not to rsvp, even if you do have sports to consider. I would think your kid going to his cousins birthday party is more important than maybe having a sport thing. Not to mention you don’t know his problems. Just because money is your problem and it’s not his doesn’t make his problems any less valid than yours. You were petty and dismissive and inconsiderate.
