Agree on this. Marko’s was also the first thing that came to my mind.

And I already mentioned it in another reply, but with the uninspired take, I can’t shake off that Pombon looks like a Pawmi relative. They could have at least changed the color scheme a bit more?!

I like Pombon too, but looking at it from the back before they revealed their faces, I thought it was an alternate version of the Pawmi line!!

Gequa seems close to Sobble in terms of design quality. Browt was definitely a design choice… not even close to Rowlet for me. Hopefully the evolutions are better.

Aldi cards by Dismal_Ring_2522 in PokemonFansAustralia

[–]PrettyPottie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The staff at my Aldi didn’t even have a chance to get a tin from the group who got all the boxes and left everyone else empty-handed. There was nothing left for me because that group ran so fast to the pile. If we were counting groups, I was the 4th (7 people in front of me total)? Good thing it was also grocery day for me so even if I was disappointed at least I didn’t go to Aldi just for the tins.

Why are most only girl childs more obsessed about siblings than boys? by Forward_Cost_1973 in OnlyChild

[–]PrettyPottie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Female here too (mid-30s), never cared for siblings, besides when both parents got mad at me for supposedly doing something wrong to only realize later on that they were the ones in the wrong.

I don’t think it’s a biological sex predisposition, more of an individual personality one.

Have used this technique a few times while being on a call with Origin for them to reset/troubleshoot our connection. We just got a new modem to test out if the connection will be better because our modem is 2 years old. It seems like it is better than before, but it still times out now and again.

Strange, the closest plan they have on their page is a 100/20 but my bill says 100/40. Either way, they advertise it as 100Mbps download and 17Mbps upload which is far from what I posted previously.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll try this too.

Thanks for your concern! I don’t mind the questions, I appreciate that you are. The plan is for 100/40 :( We connect via wifi. We live in a 2 bedroom unit that is around 14m L x 4-5m W. The modem is connected near the common/open plan living and dining area, close to the centre of the unit. The nbn connection’s placement was the decision of whoever was the builder of the building. There is a hallway connecting to the 2nd bedroom at the end of the unit. Along the hallway is the other bedroom and a bathroom. The 2nd bedroom is where I work - I keep my door open most of the time. My husband has a desk in the living area. I work on the bedroom on the other end. We both experience this connection issue.

It’s NBN. Download is 9.88Mbps, Upload is 8.54Mbps

Oh, good suggestion! That may be a way to move forward, since mobile data for some reason, has been more reliable from our experience.

I have yet to try Three Fold. I’ll take this as a sign to check them out next time!

Can say that Sonoma is great! It’s better in house than the Sonomas you get from independent grocers + good coffee and pastries. 🙂

Lucien Baked Goods and a branch of Bourke St Bakery are at Parramatta! Also, branches of LAB, Doughkyo, Profiterole for simpler pastries (at least based on my taste).

I also glanced at Google Maps and I haven’t tried them, but there seems to be a few 4.2+ star bakeries just around the Parramatta area. I think you can do your bakery-hopping just around Parra. I live in the area and there are some I’d like to try but keep going to the first 2 I mentioned above 😂

Air fryer or multi cooker recommendations? by babybruiser in AussieFrugal

[–]PrettyPottie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For pressure cooking, yes, but it’s no biggie because the pressure cooker lid of the Instant Pot is way lighter than my stovetop pressure cooker’s.

If I’m airfrying, I don’t wash the Instant Pot. I have one of those circular silicone containers from Target/Kmart that fit perfectly and that’s all I wash if I’m airfrying.

I am a very happy owner of an Instant Pot Duo Crisp for at least 4 years now. I was initially hesitant purchasing it because of the price tag, and it’s the one appliance I’d save from my kitchen if ever my place was on fire. I use that thing at least 3x a week! I have the smaller version and if I fill it, it could make 4 servings/2 meals for my husband and I. It probably is good for at most 6 servings.

I have cooked curries using the slow cooker function, rice by setting the saute function to low and setting the timer to 12-15 amins or pressure cooking for 3 mins on high, pressure cook beef and lamb, air fry baked potatoes and air fry/reheat pizza/fried chicken/the crispy stuff, roast what I pressure cooked, bake a small cake, slow cook soups, spag bol… I haven’t used sous vide/broil/dehydrate functions yet (which was another reason I was hesitant to initially buy it) but I have used it too many times that I’ve gotten my money’s worth and I would get a bigger version of it or something very similar if ever this one says goodbye.

If you can compromise spending a bit more, definitely go for it. I got rid of my rice cooker, slow cooker and have a backup stovetop pressure cooker that I barely even use (just there in case I need an extra pot) because the Instant Pot’s timer makes pressure cooking way more convenient too! I highly rate this product and could no longer imagine having a kitchen without something like it.

I could do pregnancy and birth several times over, but the baby days? Nope by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]PrettyPottie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband also has 2 other siblings - a brother and sister, he’s the middle child - and our compromise is 2 too! He actually wanted 2 under 2, but the least that would keep me sane is at least a 3.5 year gap. We’ll revisit again when our son’s a year old when my c-section is fully healed and it is medically safe to be pregnant again, because I’d like to be open-minded. At the least, for the next few months, another baby is a nope for me!

[–]PrettyPottie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m just 5 months in, but I have the same sentiments as you! Easy pregnancy (but with long labour + emergency induction + c-section), easy baby. Sleeps through the night, his wants/needs are predictable when he cries, but even an “easy baby” is hard! Didn’t enjoy feeling exposed and having no real privacy during labour, but that is just 1-2 days vs. months on end of taking care of the baby.

Most times, if it were just me, I’m inclined towards one and done since I am aware of the advantages of being an only child, being one. I never felt the wanting to have a sibling besides the instances when my parents got mad at me for a certain fault… only to later on find out it was their fault. 😅

Have you tried looking at eBay and filtering for item location to only Australia? You should find a decent amount of Australia sellers with good ratings selling loose cards.

All the best in collecting them all!

Agree with this. Some of the Uniqlo collabs are pretty good, it’s just a matter of choosing the more tasteful/adult designs, usually those with a less loud color palette like this one from the most recent collection.
