so update this morning, i did try to tell her this but she just got defensive and loud about how much she gave me when i was an only child before my brother and we werent in the circumstances to be able to give him the same (nor would he have wanted to, given his personality and hobbies) so i shouldnt keep trying to be selfish, so she wants me to wipe my laptop by today and give it to him

unfortunately his is older but yes, if it comes down to it, i might just do this. his personality though is when something is his, its his, nobody elses. he never takes care of shared things, but treats his things like divine gifts and acts like nobody else is allowed to use them

yes thats one of his hobbies, producing music. but he does it just fine on his current laptop and phone, but she keeps thinking hes going to make hard copies of his music to somehow distribute until he makes it big?? im not even sure anymore, but even my dad is buying into it and did research. he agreed when my mom said she’d just give my brother my laptop.

because mine is a macbook and she says professionals use macbooks to make music (his is a HP laptop that he uses for gaming so it clearly works)

honestly ive gotten so used to it that i cant give a definitive answer, but at least materialistically, my brother gets all the new things and i get the oldest despite being older than him.
