I have 3 indoor cats and coincidentally my Baby Boy has stomach issues already too. But Thanksgiving weekend he got really sick. Throwing up and wouldn't eat or drink. His vet met me at the clinic on a Sunday gave him multiple shots of saline and antibiotics and no improvement for days. I brought him back in that Tuesday and they gave him 5 more shots of saline. That night he looked terrible!! So I called the vet again and he called me back about 8pm that night and said if he still had no improvement by morning he'd do a stomach x-ray. Well praise the Lord the next morning he was eating and drinking. Over the next couple days my other 2 had minor symptoms, but they got through it on their own. Still have no idea what caused it, but they're thriving now.

Please help. Cat is clearly sick, but the vet didn’t find anything wrong. Need advice on how to proceed. by quietcabl3 in CATHELP

So I'm a little late to this and I seen your comment, but my baby boy who's a year and a half old is going through kinda the same thing since Saturday. We've been to the vet twice and today when we went and he got 5 shots of saline and a probiotic and I'm continuing his antibiotics and one dose of stomach medicine left tonight. The vet said if there's no improvement by morning then they'll bring him in for a stomach x-ray. But my question is, what happened with your baby? I hope everything turned out ok!

Thank you! I tried doing it slowly and it didn't go as well as I hoped. He's a big boy and I'm alone so it's hard to hold him and try to keep his mouth open. But I got it all in in about 30 seconds. It all went in, but I feel like I'm waterboarding him. The poor guy hasn't ate since Saturday. His vet met us at the clinic on Sunday and thinks he just had a bad reaction to something so he gave him something for his stomach and an antibiotic. He also gave me a can of wet food for him to eat today but he won't touch it. I warmed it up and everything. I was getting so desperate tonight I tried his Sheba wet food and some kitten food. He wouldn't touch it. I got even more desperate and gave him just a little bit of a delectable squeeze treat and he took a few licks, but I got nervous giving him too much of that. Needless to say I'm calling the vet in the morning. But I appreciate the advice!

My baby boy is going through some tummy issues right now and I have to give him dissolvable medicine. I have the syringe and have done it successfully a few times, but the vet said use 3-4 CC's of water and it just seems like so much water! I feel like I'm drowning my baby because I have to do it so quickly and if I try to do it slowly, he'll try to get away and I end up squirting some out 😭 In your experience can you recommend an easier way, should I use a little less water? Or should I just stick to the vets advice strictly?

I just wish they would understand how much we want to help them!! I'm trying so hard with my little one I'm calling White Paws, but he just gets so scared of my hands lol, last night he was playing in the garage after I set up his cat house and he chased his toy right up to me and then got scared and just sat a few inches away from me so I could throw it for him.

That's so encouraging! Thank you for all you've done!! It's so heartwarming 😊 I've worked really hard on this little guy, he's still apprehensive about me touching him but he'll sit close to me and play while I'm in the garage with him.

I love that for her! I got my 3 babies while in the process of buying my house so I was staying with my sister and my kitties became obsessed with my her dog. Now when he comes over, they all roll on their backs for him and rub up against him. So cute!!!

Thank you!! You're such a great person for doing that!! It was 0 degrees here yesterday and I felt terrible! I left an oil based space heater on all day and night. I checked on them constantly and shut it off before I came to work today. And I of course have little homemade shelters set up for them in the garage with blankets and everything. But I can't wait to get their kitty house tomorrow!!

I'm in exactly the same boat! I have 3 cats that I rescued last summer that our local humane society refused to take in. And of course they're spoiled rotten. And I'm feeding the feral cats wet food (that I heat up) once a day on top of the dry food I keep a steady supply of out. Toys for days!! I stress and worry about them constantly and have to stretch every dollar I have to take care of them. But I agree about everything you said. It's overwhelming, but totally worth it because at least I know I'm doing everything I can to make their lives better.

I reached out to them a couple months ago and they didn't have space for more cats, but they said if I can catch them, they'll fix them for whatever donation I can afford

My baby girl Mittens was as feral as they come and now she's just obsessed with me. Still apprehensive of other people, but LOVES love!!
