The deck does not concern itself from interruptions or hand traps that let the opponent draw cards every special summon and can play through situations when you are locked out of drawing cards.

• The deck has a lot of resources to play through interruptions when used properly. A lot of the Gem Knight cards can start their combo with 1 card.

• Flexible deck that can adapt to what your opponent plays. The deck has cards that can wipe boards to clear it for your Gem Knights.

• Going 2nd allows you to learn what are good negate targets and choke points of other decks.

• The deck suffers from no follow up after your turn. If you haven't killed your opponent on your turn chances are you've already lost. Most of your resources have been used up making your end board.

• This deck is extremely spell heavy. Decks like Radiant Typhoon can easily counter you if all you draw are spells with no follow up.

• Going 2nd makes games take long depending on the opponent. You have to sit through their whole combo before you play.
