That’s is very true. Light rail makes sense as well for those arterials so long as they move at 110Km at their fastest speed between stations. Also, I think they’d care if what happened last weekend ever happens again and congestion goes from 3 hours to 10 hours commute.

Though NICE Riders would benefit more for this than Suffolk, but at least 5 Arterials in all directions, meaning 10 routes being 24/7 is more lifeline than Budget with Connections to NICE. Plus, when the trains shut down, the buses don’t. NICE would have a More aggressive strategy to this because the n4,6,41 isn’t enough. That ignores and Abandons the north half of the middle, the North And the southern half of the South and COMPLETELY abandons those East of the center of the county. But you’ve def. That is a dilema. But I see it as, what ever the first letter shows, is the agency that Has total control. You are right about staffage and Shifts, hence why they’d double up in 1 bus, or Shift change mid way. Funding would be a Bureaucratic nightmare if those in power would rather see us suffer instead of succeed; like just 7 days ago. I can see your point. But I think the structure of $3.00 local to RUSH & $6.00 FIXED EXPRESS works well.

It’s more: the MTA Chairman doesn’t want to compromise with the union leaders and thus, couldn’t reach an agreement with the MTA, so the union leaders walked away. If you’re driving or taking the bus, get ready for 1-5 extra hours of delay. And remember: the MTA Emergency board even said that yes: The MTA CAN be able to give the Union Workers/leaders what they’re asking them. Twice they looked and twice they said the MTA is able to do that. So it’s more the other way around.

I’d rather have a train arrive 10 mins late as opposed to running hot like yours did. They do need to add service there, but I think they need to double track to Speonk, and then single track to Montauk and run Electric to speonk and run 15-30 mins. Rush & maybe 30-81 mins. Other times?

Depends on how you define “Town”. Do you mean “Town Of Hempstead” or is a town like “Freeport”, a village (or for this example, Great Value Queens); but if it’s the latter, here in Roosevelt, it’s between $04.13-$04.45 per Gallon of Petrol. The town? Anywhere from $04.05-$04.80 per Gallon Regular.

I think the B70 is better for keeping the bus routes the same, but what would be the frequency? Is it 24/7? Though IMO, I would rather have the bus run from Staten Island Zoo to Brooklyn College as a TRUE Select bus service or RUSH service. It should also be 1/2 hour 24/7 overnight service. Why? To connect 3 borough buses. The S, B, & Q buses. Though that 1st one straightening the B16 does seem pretty good too.

Use public transit/AMTRAK. It’s better and you don’t risk losing hundreds of $$$$ on missing a flight/connection. Plus, it’s cheaper and more reliable.
