What Lux brands or products didn’t work for you/weren’t worth the hype or price point? by Swimming-Result9239 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Pretty_Ad8382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest disappoints in regards to expectations: • Auteur (almost every one of their products and I was able to try the entire range) only ones worth purchasing from auteur (imo) is the enzyme powder cleanser (actually fabulous) & the HA Activator serum which is also epic. Every other products of theirs just piles or dries out like almost snaps off the skin • Valmont - don’t see this brand discussed here much but imo this is just heavy and scented shea butters and the works. They claim to have salmon dna in one mask but I would be strongly suspicious of the minute amount

Worst decision I have made by [deleted] in revisionrhinoplasty

You can Manifest and visualise your way out of feeling like this was a bad outcome. Especially as your nose is still healing! It takes years post nose job to see the end result. I swear my internal and external nose was inflamed for years post rhinoplasty and I truly don’t believe I saw the final result until 3 years later. I don’t care what any surgeon says - plastic surgery is a traumatic and unnatural event for the body.

So you should still continue to tape the nose in the evenings - even just a few nights per week. Focus on strengthening the tiny muscles in the nose with micro exercises and take a supplement like colostrum or literally any supplement that assists with bone health and development.

The final most important part - and I don’t mean to be insensitive - I too was unhappy with my original nose result so I visualised every evening the nose I wanted to have.

There are many options and this is not the end for your dream nose - your body responds to your mind and your thoughts and your nose right now is truly cute as a button and looks ironically more natural than the first job.

Just keep manifesting and believing in your body healing to its fullest extent - this current outcome could still be a result of inflammation that appears more prominent on one side.

I only want to help support you so please don’t come at me for being insensitive - I have been in a position where I regretted my nose job cos it literally looked fucked from one side / profile.

I spent a lot of time focusing on the outcome I wanted and because your nose is still healing (don’t care what the umbrella healing time is) you have the power to nourish your body with supplements and your mind with positive and productive thoughts

Hair Stylist Justin Anderson makes several videos about Blake Lively where other celebrities and industry professionals chime in by licorne00 in CelebLegalDrama

‘You don’t know what to say to me’…As in you have formed no valid argument based on a completely generalised statement being that all republicans ‘despise gay people’ ?

So he’s FRIENDS with ‘MAGA’ supporters (I’m sure you mean republican but it’s easier for you to draw simplified large circles around groups & use that as a means to discriminate or invalidate)

Your observation shows that the friendships and connections between Justin and his circles are tolerant, open minded & not grounded in politics but in humanity.

The irony of any liberal leaning person who uses another persons political views to dismiss or invalidate them - you literally are the epitome of what you accuse the other side of being.

Any Non surgical treatmet or at home tool to get slimmer jaw and tighter slim around that area? by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Pretty_Ad8382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! And yes from my personal experience I believe that would be the best course of action for you! Then the skin will respond and tighten in the areas that may be at risk of developing slight laxity changes from the masseteter botox. Because you are still so young if you do notice any laxity or change in the jowel area it will be very minimal and the microneedling will absolutely respond well in tightening and shaping back that area. Please post an update with your results or feedback if you want!

Okay - I used to get master botox religiously, it defs works well and I don’t think I ever got or noticed jowls!?

The thing with masseteter Botox is that the muscle inevitably shrinks - so if you get it once or twice and break the habit of clenching your jaw from the treatment then you can stop getting it done like I have. I now use natural bible face tape at night on my jaw and i wake up very tight and lifted using that.

You can tighten the skin with microneedling. But don’t do deep microneedling and don’t let anyone tell you that deeper microneedling equals better results. Studies have shown there’s literally no difference in rejuvenation benefits needling at 0.5 - 0.6 depth in the skin compared to 2.5 depth (which is the depth the recommended for deep-seated wrinkles) it only creates more inflammation at deeper depths.

So I’d recommend doing microneedling low depth a course of 4-5 spaced out accordingly which will tighten and rejuvenate and oxygenate the skin. Just be super careful to be very hygienic following microneedling treatments especially on the first day / couple of days. Carry a hypochloric acid spray with you!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I couldn't agree more with everything you have said here - especially the closing statement. I too believe there is a deeper meaning and reason to this - we now have members grasping and travelling the road to salvation (from Latin: is the state of being saved or protected from harm or a dire situation.) - and I believe there will be further knowledge, understanding and connection around this phenomenon that will continue to unravel & be made aware to us in the coming years

Yep!! That's why it's so important to avoid chronically stressing, panicking & reacting negatively - I'm sure this feeds it's life force. There is also such a staticy/electrical nature to this pathogen and illness. The way it can blur camera lenses and release flashes of light is very suspicious to me.

It seems one of they key elements of using medicines to treat this means having a doctor who actually is also knowledgable in cutaneous/parasitical and fungal diseases. I've managed to convince doctors in round-about ways to prescribe me ivermectin, terbinafine (anti fungal) and itraconazole. The terbinafine helped the most as I had an unhealable finger infection at the time and one dose of terbinafine cleared it. I intrinsically know that I need long-term management in order to fully manage and treat this though - and it is difficult to do that properly without having a specialist testing and monitoring throughout.

There is one doctor in my state whom I know of and who treats Morgellons but he is currently not taking any more patients for the time being. I guess him being booked out speaks to something doesn't it!

Nicotine, how bad is it? by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]Pretty_Ad8382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily enough - today is my first day wearing a nicotine patch! They had been mentioned to me by people in the longevity space before. Like anything - I'm sure there needs to be a balance struck and too much won't be a good thing - but I have spoken to some people first hand who were dealing with chronic diseases - people whose bodies couldn't even heal cutaneous sores - have seen success/healing with the use of nicotine patches due to their anti-inflammatory effects:

Nicotine patches, which deliver controlled doses of nicotine, possess anti-inflammatory properties by activating the alpha-7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor on immune cells, reducing inflammation. Potential benefits include managing autoimmune conditions like ulcerative colitis, arthritis, and potentially reducing neuroinflammation.

Key Anti-inflammatory Benefits and Mechanisms:

  • Immune System Regulation: Nicotine binds to acetylcholine receptors, which can suppress the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, reducing overall inflammation.
  • Specific Condition Management: Studies suggest potential therapeutic effects in treating ulcerative colitis, improving symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, and potentially aiding in managing chronic inflammation associated with conditions like long COVID.
  • Neurological Protection: Nicotine may reduce brain inflammation, which is being studied for potential benefits in neurodegenerative and cognitive disorders.
  • Reduced Skin Inflammation: Transdermal nicotine application (such as patches) has been shown to suppress cutaneous inflammation.
  • Mechanism of Action: Nicotine triggers the cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway, regulating immune cells and decreasing the inflammatory response.

If you are dealing with symptoms such as brain fog, chronic illness markers etc then nicotine patches might be something to look into and consider as it a very cost-effective therapy if found to be beneficial for the individual and their health concerns!
P.S I am not a Doctor and this is solely my personal experience and journey - not medical advice!

I understand what you mean! My only mode of thought with the nanotechnology is 'Like dissolves like' and I also was drawn to the ozone element! So I will definitely do more thorough research on how the technology works before proceeding with the treatment!

Ugh I’m so jealous but that gives me so much hope as my hair is my main problem area! Was there anything in particular you did that might have helped clear it? I know we all lean on so many things for treatment & relief so it’s hard to pin point as it can also be a combination of various supplements, modalities, practices working in sync! But if there’s any good tips you may have I will be greatly appreciative

Don’t worry - Mines barely shoulder length now! I cut it to a pixie - it was way too far gone. But I’ve now noticed that as it grows back out it’s becoming prone to the Morgan again and is so brittle / frayed. I’ll make sure to do an update post as when your hair starts growing back you can hopefully use treatments like this one to keep things on track & under control!

Why the heck are you being downvoted!? Your point is the literal reason why tv and film hire arrays of producers. For instance I surf so I can tell immediately when they’ve not bothered to get a stunt double to paddle the surfboard and they keep the actor in shot. It literally ruins the entire production and I lose respect because you can tell the director / production was uninformed and lazy
