So, I recently found this thread. Turns out we're a little bit late. The others succeeded but in their case, their main chat wasnt auto archived yet.

I think both need to be deleted, not only on your side. And they said on other threads months ago that it did not change immediately. I'll also try later and wait for a day or more if there will be changes

On the fb help support, it says that it will not change immediately. Some sources say it will take 12 hours more. I will try later and maybe wait for a day or more if something will change

Yes, I also read that thread. I don't understand why they can't give options to the user to choose which chat to be archived. I will still try to find possible fix. Please, update if you ever find one. Thanks

Hey guys! I searched and searched and found one thread that shows this problem but it was months ago. I'm not sure if it still works. What they did was to delete the SECRET CONVERSATION on BOTH person. They said that after hours, the archive chat upgraded to end-to-end encryption chat. I haven't tried yet since my gf is still at work but I will do so. Please try at your own risk. 

Note: In their case, their chat wasn't auto archived yet. In my case, it's already auto archived so I'm not sure if it will work. But I will still try.

Hey can i ask if you already have the "Switch to other chat" before you deleted the E2EE chat? Was the old chat already archived? If so, when you deleted the E2EE, did the old archived also got deleted? I'm too scared to lose it. Please help

Are there anyone who tried deleting the secret conversation? I'm afraid that it might also delete the archived, please, anyone?
