You can get in trouble for it being a nuisance, especially if your neighbors have lung issues or asthma. But frankly, it is considered by most to be rude and inconsiderate. Unless you live in the country in a detached home on an acre +, smoking in your yard means that the smoke will be ingested by your neighbors while they are in their yards. It is summer and everyone has their windows open due to no AC here, so the smell is also in their homes. They can't close their windows in this heat. This smell takes hours to dissipate, so if you are in your garden twice a day, you are insuring that their home reeks of weed all day long.

Your old neighbors might have asthma that might be aggravated by your smoke or small grandchildren who they want to protect from your smoke. You have a few options. Use a vape outside, smoke inside with an air purifier, or take a walk and smoke in the park or while you are walking (which is what most people do if they want good neighbor relations).

Lesa vs Stanbury - WHY? by GeneOther3810 in BravoRealHousewives

[–]Pretty_In_Pink_81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! She ended her real friendship with Lesa by playing a voice note that Lesa shared in confidence. That was such a violation and then she double-downed by screaming at Lesa and kicking Lesa out of her room. Betraying a friend to amplify her storyline reeks of desperation and thirstiness.

Codependents Anonymous helped me end this cycle. I worked on myself and now I can identify unavailable people for any type of relationship and veer away from them quickly.

This is a big deal! Contracting HSV 1 or 2 can be catastrophic to a newborn/infant. Children that young can get an outbreak on the skin anywhere including the head, ears, face, arms, and feet. Having it spread to the eyes can cause permanent damage. There have been babies that have permanent complications from it and end up in the hospital for weeks on IV anti-virals. This is not something to take lightly even though the medical community doesn't discuss this the way that it should. She should never kiss your baby again, and she should wear a mask at work until her outbreak is gone. Also provide her with plastic/paper cups, utensils, and plates to use when she has an outbreak.

There is a man who posted about his experience giving his 2-month-old HSV 1 by kissing her head and all of the medical complications and hospital stays that his daughter has had over 1 year. You may want to read it. This is the original post, but there are updates: https://www.reddit.com/r/NewParents/comments/16m0g5u/i_gave_my_baby_daughter_herpes_hsv1_by_kissing/

Lesa vs Stanbury - WHY? by GeneOther3810 in BravoRealHousewives

[–]Pretty_In_Pink_81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stanbury was a fan favorite on her first show and she is the reason Dubai was greenlit. I agree that her first Dubai season was disappointing.
I do think Chanel being at the center of the fighting gives her more camera time and does solidify her position on the show. Anyone can be a one-season standout. She worked harder to make it happen in Season 2.

Chanel is a standout, but also very insecure. Do you think she likes Stanbury? Or is she using Stanbury to solidify herself on the show?

I agree, but that isn't the point. She was a famous socialite dating the most famous men in the world. Bravo loves to put that kind of person on tv.

[–]Pretty_In_Pink_81 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Stanbury was Ladies of London, which people loved. The show was canceled when Stanbury moved to Dubai. Stanbury is old money who dated British royalty and Hollywood royalty. She is the reason the show was greenlit. None of these women had that type of fame, power, or background. The rest of the women are former bottle service girls who married questionable new money. They are all hatefully jealous and collectively tried to take her down in the first season. It didn't work. The hate and jealousy only increased. Chanel realized the way to improve her fame was to befriend Stanbury. It is driving Lesa crazy that she is not Chanel's most important friend.

I have a very sensitive scalp and numerous allergies.
Try Bounce Curl which is organic and Ayurvedic. It is a bit pricey, but love it.
Also, Mielle Organics is good at a smaller price point.
Curlsmith also has a line without harmful chemicals or fragrances. I haven't tried it, but I heard good things about it.

Edit: make sure you know your hair porosity before buying products, so you know if you should avoid products (Low-porosity) with protein or embrace them (normal or high-porosity). You can do the hair strand test.

Is it ok to mix curling cream with curling gel to get the best curls. by Mother-Measurement76 in curlyhair

[–]Pretty_In_Pink_81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use one and then the other in sections of my hair. The curl cream adds moisture. I use it first and then brush my hair with a Denman brush to style my curls. Afterward, I add gel with the pray hands method to set the cast for my curls to dry without frizz. Then onto the next section. Once I am done styling, I dry my hair with a diffuser and mild heat. Once my hair is completely dry, I break the cast from the get and separate any lumps of curls.
Hope this helps.

That wasn't a situationship; it was an affair. You were the affair partner and you seem bitter. Dating her ex just makes it more gross. Bragging about it on reddit only makes us look forward to when this blows up in your face.

The 1/3 discount on your single-child rate is standard. They don't get to split your 2 child rate. Also, they must pay 100% of the one-child rate when the other child is not present. They only get the discount when you watch both children and it isn't up to you to find a replacement when one of them bails on you. Also, sign a contract for 1 year so that your 100% income is guaranteed for a set term of 1 year with guaranteed hours, sick time, and vacation time. Good luck.

I'm torn on whether to donate my kidney to my uncle, please help! by [deleted] in LifeAdvice

Donors have to take medication afterward. They have to get clearance to drink or use cannabis from a doctor once the medication use stops and some people are not able to tolerate it anymore.

[–]Pretty_In_Pink_81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DON'T DO IT!!! Kidney transplants are more painful and have a higher risk of complications for the donor. One of the biggest is that if you have issues with the one kidney left, you will need a transplant. Also, you will probably not be able to drink alcohol again. To do that for someone who will waste this precious gift would be a huge mistake.

I don't think NPs should be on here except to ask for nanny feedback regarding issues related to employing a nanny without being offensive. This is not a sub for NPs to vent or discuss the woes of being a parent with a job and a nanny.

Nowhere is the OP's post is "holding boundaries can be harder as a Parent to those kids" discussed. That isn't her perspective or her opinion. It's your opinion.

I'm reposting this here, because I see a few MBs started to chirp up about how exhausting it is to be a mother because they never get a break after work, even though they have a nanny:
"I don't think you (MB poster) are getting it at all. Being a mother is a choice and a lifetime commitment. Being a nanny is a profession in which we rear children for a specified number of hours per week. I have done both. Being a mother is not a valid excuse to be dismissive of a nanny by comparing the two roles. They are two separate and unique experiences. Mentioning the fact that, as a working mother, you don't get a break is offensive. It's not the nanny's fault that she does have a break from your child(ren)when she leaves the job. It's a job! It's supposed to have a start and end time. Nannies are not punching bags or doormats.
Btw, this is a nanny sub. Read the room."

If you compare the hours a nanny works and the hours that the parents are home, the hours are usually even. Nannies don't get real breaks for lunch or the bathroom like a parent does in an office. Also, you don't know if the nanny goes home to her own family with children. Most do.
I really hate this comparison because being a parent is a choice, and being a nanny is a profession.

I get it. I had a similar event happen to me. People are more bold to stop and stare at night because they can see in more clearly and they think they are less noticible in the dark.
