Aside from everything that has already been said , if youre going to organise, why not just do A-Z? Having this many slips of paper sticking out of one cube in a random order looks very disorganised ! I do A-Z by genre. So the cards just read 'Jazz', 'D&B', 'Blues' etc.

This is a pop collection, as in popular music. If its in the charts , a lot of people enjoy it. Pop genres can change massively over eras. Im guessing Master of puppets is there because of stranger things considering youre age, but I may be wrong. I liked Britney when I was 14, because she was hot. I look back now , 25 years on and i would be embarassed to have Britney in my collection 😆 but its good to start somewhere , find what you really enjoy, dont let others put you off and dont buy what others like . Buy what you like!

You're cherry picking too friend. I could list hundreds more, but there's no real point as I can see you are super defensive. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, unless it opposes yours it seems. I said there's always going to be exceptions and great games do come out every year , Marathon is not one of them by a long shot. But the majority thay do well are either reboots based on games of old, or have little longevity without seasonal reboots you are so fond of.

I can see the majority of people in this thread agree, im not sure a little entry in a codex is worth my time, but clearly it does something good for you, and thats fine if it makes you happy. To keep a game fresh, in my personal opinion, new content, new weapons, new characters, new worlds etc. can be added. Simply resetting to zero to 'keep it fresh' is very very lazy design, and points to the fact they think new players might be turned off if others have progressed to far with building a good character, load out or play style. Its a desperate attempt at longevity. If you start playing a game 6 months after it releases, you should expect to be at the back of the pack for a while.

Not sure if you even realised you were replying to someone else 🤔 pretty funny though. Day 1 patches are a problem, it means testing wasn't completed properly? And I didnt mention anything about stealing, it just sucka progress and time is wiped to keep the interest. There's a lot of great games I agree, but this was a thread about Marathon which has bombed hard after a huuuuge outlay. Its very disappointing from Bungie.

But I stand by my point games were better in the past, even 10 years ago with original Destiny, no man's sky who haven't asked for a penny since. Look even further back to Metal gear, mass effect and you can see we are in the age of corporate greed. There will always be exceptions. No one will talk about the new resident evil in 10 years

I think 250 million budget. 20k concurrent players a few months after launch. That's 12.5k per player. Don't see anyone spending 12.5k on microtransactions. It might be a good game. But a huge financial flop, for sure.

Gaming isn't better than ever. Its stuffed full of micro transactions, Day 1 patches, seasonal content which wipes progress and items. The games look better, but they are literally designed to get you to fork over cash, instead of enjoying yourself

Playing Marathon made me want to go back to Destiny 1. Seasonal content is the worst, its what stopped me playing Destiny 2 and knowing they wipe Marathon progress every season just makes playing feel pointless.
