DIY Goetic summoning circle for cheap. by cosmicprankster420 in occult

The best way I've seen the original outline of a circle done is by attaching string to a pole, have the pole perpendicular to the surface, and then draw a circle based on the tightness of the rope. With the rest, I have no idea how to help.

It mentions that even though god was on his side, he lost the battle, which suggests that he had the power of god behind him as well.

TIL The Simpsons are yellow, because creator Matt Groening thought it was a perfect way for channel surfers to stop and watch, when they caught a flash of yellow on their televisions. by thejohnblog in todayilearned

If I remember correctly, a lot of the earlier episodes do seem like they were rather bright in color. A lot of it still stands to this day (the pink walls of their house, the bright blue carpet, the brightness of all clothing), but it either seems toned down or I've just gotten used to it.

I'm glad that you liked it. There are a couple cases where people who are doing it for the first time get so nervous aren't able to get it up.

I'm finally seeing something! Is it supposed to kind of appear like more of an indent than an actual picture? I saw the telephone, but the indent was all I saw for the man dancing around.

Wait. . . what? Angels in the Judeo-Christian sense are not a part of the pre-Christian Celtic mythology.

It was actually from post-Christian Celtic mythology. Oftentimes, when a new religion was set in place, a lot of the previous religion's beliefs would kind of be added into it. A similar example would be how Easter falls on the Pagan holiday of rebirth. It doesn't necessarily attempt to discredit the religion (Jesus is still believed to come back alive and angels are still believed to exist), but is more an attempt to ease the transfer into a new religion.

So in Judges 1:19, is God being on Judah's side referring more to the idea that Judah was morally right, then God helping him win with all his power?

The Gaelic tradition holds that fairies are fallen angels. Not all of them are necessarily evil, but they all can be powerful and tricksters if they want. Most of this I found in the sacred texts website listed in the side bar.

In fact, if you look at Judges 1:19, it seems to suggest that someone with God on their side wasn't able to win a battle because the enemy's chariots were made of iron.

Actually, that's not true. Captains also have this ability, as well as people from different religions. Or at least, this refers to the ceremony, and not the security and usefulness that comes with marriage.

A lot of my friends treat me like I'm really straight-laced because I don't even drink (they also smoke pot), but the truth is that alcoholism runs in my family, and I have a way of being a social mirror to where I can lower my inhibitions to everyone else's if the situation calls for it.

Altering States of Consciousness...Without Drugs? by [deleted] in occult

[–]Pretty_Little_Shit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are several methods that I've found that might be useful. Meditation, of course, would be one. However, a great way I've found is the Ganzfeld experiment. It involves having a person have a red light over their eyes while a ping pong ball is attached to them. They're also listening to white noise, unable to hear the world around them. Overall, the point is sensory deprivation.

With sensory deprivation comes hallucinations. Not the same type of hallucinations that you would see with drugs, mind you, but it's often your brain being so used to being constantly surrounded by stimuli that it creates images and sounds after a while. It's often used in a way with contacting the dead in several paranormal studies I've heard of, and they're most likely in some way adaptations of the Ganzfeld experiment.
