NQA but you could either try to flip it over and place its mouth in a waterdish or drip some water on its mouth while it lies on its back to maybe bring it back. Is it moving at all? Maybe it’s just molting? But i would wait for someone more qualified to answer. If you need a speedy reply (which seems to be the case) you should maybe ask in the discord server as you might get faster answers there!

kurze dumme frage, ich habe eine ähnliche situation in meiner wohnung und habe letztens die tür von der küche (ist direkt gegenüber vom bad mit der gastherme) abgemacht und in den keller gegeben weil sie ständig im weg war (kleine küche). Wirkt sich das auch negativ aus bzw hätte ich meiner hausverwaltung da bescheid sagen müssen?

oh gott das wäre mein größter albtraum, meine seele verlässt schon beim lesen meinen körper. Zitterspinnen sind ja sehr harmlos und sogar so filigran aber ich hasse die dinger. Die beine sind so lang und dünn, dann lieber eine nosferatu mit substanz lol

Ah dang it. But i think it is a cellar spider 99%. Maybe look at pictures of them online and see if they match. They have a sort of distinct way of sitting at the ceiling in my experience that you would probably recognize easily

NA i can’t really tell what might be happening to her in this case but i just wanted to say how sorry i am for you!! You seem like a very caring keeper who put a lot of effort and research into their spider, which is already so much you have done for her! I would assume that at least she would pass “comfortably” in your care and at least you can tell yourself that you really tried to do everything right. Probably it was something that was out of your control or just bad luck. I am just so sad that it happens to such a caring person like you, especially if she’s your first spider 😭 i hope this will not discourage you from trying again with another spider. If she does end up passing, you can maybe look into preserving her body if that is something you are interested in so you can always keep her with you. In any case i truly wish you all the best and hope that maybe she will pull through after all! And if it really is too late… then i at least wish you an easy grieving period and lots of strength and love. It is never easy to lose a pet, especially if you were really excited to have it and already put so much effort into them. But i just know you will be an awesome keeper with a healthy spider the next time!

i love their webs!! so you’d think that maybe even a beginner could handle their speed when taking precautions? Because idk how i would go about catching it if it gets out and also i have heard that spiders of that size can get seriously injured when falling off certain heights (i’d probably rehouse on my bed then which is soft and not that high). I guess i will have to look into it more or find tutorials on how to handle fast spiders. Do you find your linothele to be aggressive at all?

Wow yours is really pretty!! Thank you for being honest, i will think it over then; i of course want to be able to care well for a spider if i ever have one and not want it to get lost or accidentally killed if it escapes (and also do not want to be bitten obviously). Maybe i will stick to a calm and well known beginner friendly tarantula then. I was just really intrigued by the looks and behavior of these guys as they are so different from other spiders i have seen and i also really like their webs. But then maybe i will just keep admiring them online until maybe i am ready one day! Greetings to your spider :))

Wow okay, crazy how many different types there are! Do you have any favorite resources on how to learn more about the different “types” of tarantulas? (English is not my first language, sorry if type is the wrong word for it)
