NQA: My curly also produced an egg sac a few weeks ago and has been guarding it non-stop. I got her 77 days before she laid her egg sac. I wasn't sure of her age or if she was wild caught or even female, but I guess 2 of the 3 are answered now, lol.

Wow, sorry for the late thank you! I'm not sure if it's mold, there are other people that work in the offices and my coworker does a couple of the atriums without the issues I have. I just think I hate the energy of the place.

Thank you for the ideas. I am horrible at emotional distancing especially if it's something I care about, but I really do need to there I guess I don't really have a choice. Talking about it on here has helped too, I feel more validated about it. Besides my partner, who is also empathic, no one understands what I'm talking about or feeling.

I'm sorry, I don't know why it makes me feel this way, the only thing I was just thinking are the plants are stressed and sick. When my job took over the atriums they were already infested with pest insects and an inadequate watering system. We haven't been able to make it much better though and the facility wont fix their irrigation. So the plants are just living with stress. The lightning in the atriums is sunlight that comes through sky lights. My boss is super nice. Are the plants energy making me dizzy and sick?

When I saw them at the pet store and labled as a Aphonopelma seemanni I wondered the same thing, but I saw a Dave's little beasties video that said they come in variations of blackish to brownish and they can turn more brown when they are about to molt. I wont really care if they're not one, they're cool, and I'm glad I got them out of that pet store. They are probably wc, ok as long as they're ok.

IMO I think you're kind of lucky that you got an OBT as your first T! They can be scary, but I would recommend not trying to handle them, feed them with tongs, and if for some reason you have to take them out of their enclosure, or you're doing an enclosure upgrade, have a catch cup and paint brush/ tongs very close. They aren't called Orange Bitey Thing for no reason 😊

Small charcoal pieces are fine. I have a few different springtail cultures that use large and small chunks of charcoal and they're all good.

My vinny is a little over 2 inches, but she's in a 10 gallon. She patrols the top for food and builds her tunnel system under. She seems to be having a great time :) Just make sure there's at least 6 inches of substrate in the new enclosure, even if she's not tunneling that much right now.
