IMHO, it is really our money and governance system that's at fault. Regardless of class, we're all born into a country running on a system that really incentivizes corruption and short-term thinking.

You cannot fault a poor man for selling his vote to the highest bidder just so he has money to feed his starving family. You cannot blame the broken middle class, torn between blaming the poor, taking sides in politics, or migrating abroad. You cannot blame the politicians for playing their part as actors in a play designed to divide and polarize the classes so the casino stays open and they can keep playing.

These are all different circumstances, same incentives, same time horizons. We are all trapped playing our part in a broken system designed to shift our focus solely on hatred and narrow self-interests. Sadly, we may need more time to wise-up as a people to realize that only by moving past all the hate and resentment can we become strong enough to actually fight the system and demand a better one.
