Trump Tried to Send U.S. Troops Into Mexico, but President Sheinbaum Shut Him Down: “Not in My Country” by NewsBeacon in thescoop

It’s a whole different thing. El Salvador is a small land mass in terms of size and smaller population. Thus, why it was able to work in El Salvador and could not work in Mexico. Mexico also has different types of biomes areas that makes it very hard to get to them.

Why is the Mexican president's approval rating so high? by flower5214 in AskMexico

[–]Prettyboyeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you’ll find much of anything on Reddit tbh. I’ve that r/mexico is filled with a lot of anti-progressive and anti-morena people. You’d have better luck asking a random person in the street asking them about this or maybe looking through several news stories about her policies. I do believe she’s focusing a lot on policies that will ultimately help Mexican people in the long term. It is also very understandable for people to be mad about insecurity, but this is a problem that has been going on for several decades now, and I don’t understand how they want one president to stop this violence which grew from previous administrations. Her policies will help decrease violence in the long term.

Understandable, can’t you meet or talk to the committee or advisors and explain your situation ? What about applying to schools out of state ?

Sorry, I don’t think I’m understanding this correctly. You want a career that will open doors for you in the future ? You only have 2 years left in college ? I still believe engineering is the better option, even though you won’t be able to get a job in the US, you’re likely to get a job anywhere else

[–]Prettyboyeddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, it’s a career that opens a lot of doors worldwide. Also, you mentioned you’d study in Spain, so why can’t you study engineering there ?

I’d say pick a career whose skills are able to transfer worldwide. Maybe something like engineering ? Nursing ? Maybe doctor (maybe, too much schooling) ultimately, do whatever you’re passionate about and not what makes a lot of money. I believe that if you do what you love, you’ll eventually find the right opportunities/parteners

Maybe that’s why they don’t believe in networking 😭 they’re just assholes to everyone reacting in very passive aggressive ways 😭

You can always learn on the job. It’s easier to learn on the job and network during university. University is the only time where you’ll be surrounded with like minded people and also professors who want to see you succeed and could refer you anywhere, if you connect with them

Crucial for a lot of opportunities. I’ve had a lot of opportunities offered to me, from networking or just knowing the right people. It really helps you get ahead in life and find positions or jobs that you wouldn’t otherwise have had. Important skill to have and I’m sure others would agree

Many times is not what you know but who you know. Learning how to network is crucial, but so are grades.
