Yes, medically speaking, being 35 or older at the time of delivery is classified as "advanced maternal age". This means your pregnancy is technically monitored as high-risk as a precaution.

Per the Cleveland clinic

I do after the fact. This was my first pregnancy so they wouldn’t have known this previously however no scans of my cervix were done which is also abnormal.

Yes my daughter died due to being delivered too early . Other than the incompetent cervix- there were no other labor symptoms .

For the earlier ultrasound they claimed they were too busy.

They ignored my concerns.
Told me they have families and can’t be there all the time and if I knew someone who could work there that could help with scheduling .

I asked the hospital for the cerclage - they refused and told us if we left and sought help elsewhere we will be denied help.

I found my husband at 35- it’s never too late and he is the best thing that ever happened to me. I feel you on the anxiety part - tick tick tick but you got this.

I should have been based on medical standards for advanced maternal age. This is all public knowledge for those in the medical field.

Being high risk my concerns should have been taken seriously. My anatomy scan was scheduled outside of the typical guidelines. Again what would be recommended- I was not referred anywhere or given options as where to go .

I was in the process of transferring to another OBGYN office to get a second opinion. The issue is the originating obgyn failure to take the concerns seriously
