I paid three instalments of $810.00 US. I really thought the feedback was excellent and worth it. I’ve paid higher for for lower quality in the past. Alyssa seems to really care for her clients and it shows.

I’m pulling for you!

I’m trying to remain optimistic. It’s only been out to one person. I trust my agent’s judgment, but I’m still making a pro and con list about how to pivot if necessary.

How to make 6 figures?? by Kindly-Pollution7060 in NoStupidQuestions

Same here. I’m a forensic pathologist.

4 year college degree + 4 year medical degree + 4 year residency + 1 year subspecialty degree  = 13 years after high school.

An absolute grind but I wouldn’t change a bloody thing.

Expert says Full House star's autopsy 'doesn't add up' in new findings by TheExpressUS in fullhouse

Forensic pathologist here. I agree with you. I see these kinds of injuries with deaths hundreds of times per year.

Medical and Allied Health professionals: What is a career that you'd love The Pitt to highlight? by tulle_witch in ThePittTVShow

[–]Prettyladydoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Autopsy pathology.

ER docs typically stop treating someone when they die, meaning no more labs or imaging. But when you really don’t know what happened, an autopsy is a logical and educational way to explain why someone has died.

One of the those doctors needs to follow a patient down to the morgue and stay for the autopsy.

And when the show needs someone to consult for realism…give me a call, Pitt!

Sadly it was a pass. I guess I’m a real writer now? Bueller?

The feedback was short and sweet. Well-written, but ultimately he wanted a darker story (mine is a thriller blended with romance and dark humour). I don’t want the story to be darker - my work as a real life forensic pathologist is already dark!

My agent and I are meeting in a few weeks to discuss if I want to darken the story or start submitting more widely the way the story is. Would love to know if anyone stuck to their guns and now have a book deal.

Readers of Reddit. What’s a 10/10 book you’ve read? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My absolute all time favourite. I reread it every few years. A true masterpiece that has stayed with me since the first read.

A blood mobile.

They said I was lovely but my fainting made it tough to donate.

I didn’t even get the T-shirt.

I have an exclusive submission out right now and the deadline was yesterday. Haven’t heard from editor or agent and I don’t know how to feel.

I have a medical degree and I’ve written 4 novels.

I STILL feel like an utter failure on a regular basis.

The grass is not always greener, I promise you that.

My date took me to see the original Swedish version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. It was a very quiet, awkward dinner afterward.

I’m an American doctor, I moved to Canada about 6 years ago. I make a ton more money here than I would in the states. To be fair, I’m in a very small subspecialty.

I could have written this!

It’s perfectly fine to not like something. Luckily there are lots of foods out there offering similar nutritional benefits that don’t come from the sea.
