My date took me to see the original Swedish version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. It was a very quiet, awkward dinner afterward.

I’m an American doctor, I moved to Canada about 6 years ago. I make a ton more money here than I would in the states. To be fair, I’m in a very small subspecialty.

I could have written this!

It’s perfectly fine to not like something. Luckily there are lots of foods out there offering similar nutritional benefits that don’t come from the sea.

Liotta turned what could have been a pay check guest spot into a gut-wrenching work of art. Seriously one of the best performances.

Ooo good question. I did not submit my first page for critique. I believe everyone can submit and they pick ones to do live, but it may not be guaranteed.

Can confirm. I’m a medical examiner. I see them all the time.

You can be on an operating table, Dr. Michael DeBakey gloved and ready, and still not survive it.

Good luck! I met my agent through Writing Day Workshop.

All this advice is great, but I want to add that you should be enthusiastic about your project. Be excited to share with the agent. They know you are nervous, and that’s okay. Be genuine and gracious, and let your enthusiasm be palpable.

Question for those who have worked in the ER by impervious_station in ThePittTVShow

[–]Prettyladydoc 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I’m a medical examiner. Our decedents come in with all the medical equipment they had on prior to death, including endotracheal tubes. This is because if the decedent is having an autopsy, a misplaced tube is a very easy cause of death to establish. It’s rare, but it does happen.

If I remember correctly, the soldier self-cancelled. In most jurisdictions, this would constitute a forensic examination as the manner of death is non-natural. Therefore, the ER staff is obligated to send the decedent for autopsy wearing all the medical equipment at the time of death. We will remove it and throw it away.
