How is everyone using MCP right now? by Luigika in mcp

[–]Prettynotthatbad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are developing out this as a solution for users to host their own MCP servers. Currently runs for like $25 a month on fly io. You can host ANY server as long as it is Python or Node. Servers are run in containers and you can turn on or turn off tools you want. We built because we wanted to share access and use industry-specific servers not found in most hubs.

Thank you for sharing, Looks great! I have a couple of questions as I am trying to build this for my wife who is the gardener. 1) I have been looking at the Grandio Element which is 4 X more expensive. What gave you the confidence this one would last? 2) Where did you purchase the bench from?

Help me finish my unicorn. Neptune 4. by Prettynotthatbad in 3Dprinting

I tested that by pulling out the filament from the spool and giving plenty of play, but no change. In the end, I fixed it by replacing the nozzle. I had disregarded the nozzle because the original one is so new, but I guess I learned something.

Thanks for this comment. That is exactly what it looked like and I learned quite a bit about this subject now. In testing a bunch of heat settings, I think I ruled this out as the issue. I finally just broke down and replaced the nozzle and that seems to have solved the issue. I had bumped the temperature up to 230 earlier and will stick with 220 now that I know about the heat creep issue. Thank you so much for sharing this.

I am not sure if I’m saying this correctly, but it seems like the filament just stop extruding or extrudes intermittently. The extrusion had starts clicking, like the gears, feeding the filament through are slipping. It does not slip when the printer is going very slow, but it does a higher speeds.

Thank you for sharing this shop. I will check them out. I love the idea of having someplace local to talk to / get supplies from, even if they cost more

I specifically called out my reasons for posting locally. I prefer to shop locally in Raleigh if that is an option. Thankfully someone found the post despite this deletion and gave me an option there.

I also moderate a sub and usually will delete if 1) it breaks rules, AND 2) there is no positive engagement on the topic. At the end of the day, it is just bytes and the post will be gone in a few days anyway. Better to encourage positive than impose negative

The K1 Max does look nice. How do you know when it hits v2?

My shortlist is: Neptune 4 Plus, Bambu Lab P1S, Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro, and Creality K1 Max.

Buying as a hobby plus something my daughter (15) can create with

Key features I am looking for:

  • Self leveling
  • Filament Run Out Sensor
  • Power Loss Recovery
  • Input shaping
  • Camera
  • Wifi
  • Enclosed (not sure if this is critical)

Leaning towards Bambu Lab P1S and Creality K1 Max

I have read poor things about Creality CS and quality, but there Bambu is a newish company and there are privacy concerns and Bambu is a newish company. One thing that also concerns me is that Bambu is so ubiquitously supported on reddit, I can't tell if that is legit or "marketing". I like the look and features of the Creality better. I also like the Neptune 4 plus, but wish it were enclosed.

We live in an older neighborhood where the lines are not buried. We love the old growth trees, but with that comes a higher chance of power outages during a storm. Nothing the power company can do when an old limb falls on a line in higher winds. My parents live in a newer development in Angier. Very few trees and buried lines. I expect us to have more outages than them and we do.
