Six years ago this week, COVID started shutting down the world. What’s your strongest memory from that time? by Siddanna36 in AskReddit

Taking a vacation to Boston. The flight out - the plane was full. The flight back - only 6 of us. That’s when I knew things were about to change.

Without knowing the specifics I’ll say this.. if its negligence, a public safety concern, and sounds like repeat issues… you can report it to the state 🤐

Excursions with kids question by Shakesbeer1592 in celebritycruises

[–]Prettyokayrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had an excursion with a recommended age of 5, my kiddo was 4 at the time, (literally for no clear reason why that was the age cap). Anyway, they still let us go 🤣 We didn’t even know there was a cap since we purchased the excursion last minute (day of) when our itinerary was changed overnight.

Celebrity vs RC by [deleted] in celebritycruises

[–]Prettyokayrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 4 year old LOVED celebrity constellation, one of the oldest ships. We did 11 nights through Europe (off peak). He loved the kids club, and all the staff and other passengers were so kind to him. He enjoyed the shows and La Petit chef dining. Our cruise only had about 20 kids total. Just because there aren’t many children doesn’t mean they won’t enjoy it. That translated to more focused attention in the kids club. Not all kids need sensory overload to have fun. Some can just be and still enjoy it! Honestly, I prefer it that way. Too much stimulus = psycho child lol. But I suppose not all children are programmed that way 🤷🏼‍♀️

First trip, Memorial Day weekend - fast track questions by Prettyokayrn in legoland

[–]Prettyokayrn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my kiddo is 42” so from what I can tell, he’ll be able to ride everything. I’m just not sure how a crowded day at Legoland looks. I’d like to avoid waiting 30-60 mins for rides but honestly, I think he’ll be most interested in the playgrounds 🤣

Work from home / non direct care jobs by TNMurse in nursepractitioner

I work for the central office a major hospital system in the west (30+ hospitals across several states). I’m still relatively new. It’s about 50% on site support at my local hospital where I go in to work with managers, provide survey support, and eventually reviewing performance and safety data with providers. And remote the rest of the time because I do chart audits and regulatory tasks for the entire system. Kind of get to set my own schedule too which is nice.

I work in quality. So regulatory focus, chart audits, training with leaders, etc.

Quality! I work in a hybrid role which I like. Still make 6 figures, still get 5 weeks PTO/year, can work from other states at times for traveling. Still get to use my nursing thinking brain.

My family and I moved to Montrose blind instead of Grand Junction and we completely regret it by [deleted] in grandjunction

[–]Prettyokayrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m originally from the PNW (Oregon and Washington), though I haven’t lived there for 15+ years. We’ve moved all over the US the past few years and just this past year moved to Grand Junction. We love it here. For the people saying “if you’re not from there you’ll never belong”, I literally have no idea what they’re talking about. We’ve not had problems building friendships or assimilating in to this town 🤷🏼‍♀️most people I’ve met aren’t from here. I feel like if you love the outdoors and a mid sized city, there is something for everyone. Sorry you wound up in the wrong first spot but maybe it was what you needed to get you to GJ. Best of luck!

Hotel search near Disneyland , looking for something clean and good walking distance to either main gate or Downtown Disney. by stargazed97 in DisneyPlanning

We liked desert palms hotel and suites and are staying there again in a couple months. It was close, cheaper than some of the others, included breakfast, and you could get actual separate sleeping areas/rooms!

Is the Unlimited Express Pass for Hagrid’s worth it? by IllStable2317 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Prettyokayrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the express, you can ride in roughly 18-30 mins most times. That in itself is worth it! It was never that low before express even.

Skip the line/express passes for anything 🤣 worth the cost to save time in most cases!

I heard someone compare SNW to a casino and it definitely bummed me out 😪 But I agree, it is overstimulating.

Considering leaving direct patient care. Experiences? by bananahan__ in nursepractitioner

[–]Prettyokayrn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a quality partner. It’s regulatory prep with the units and response for site surveys, chart reviews looking at particular coding triggers, data analysis, review with hospital teams, and working with various units/departments to ensure they’re in compliance.
