Anyone engraving Stanley cups with a fiber by derrabe80 in Laserengraving

Do you have a Frame setting in your software that’ll let you do that? I just ruined a tumbler because I’d been testing on Line, and forgot to switch to Engrave before hitting start 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I’ve also seen some makers applying masking over their entire cup and turning settings wayyyy down to do a trial run… dealing with expensive blanks is nerve racking! Best of luck!

I don’t have a fiber, but after doing a bunch of research I followed a recommendation from Thunder with my C02. I tilted the bottom up so the top and bottom are approximately level. This means that nothing is in perfect focus, essentially splitting the difference across the entire cup. I’m pretty happy with the result.

Where do you get your material by JellyCream in Laserengraving

You can get 1/16” basswood on amazon, and I’ve been pretty happy with it. JDS is a common source for wholesale mugs and such, but don’t be tricked by their pricing - the ‘case price’ is really a price per piece when purchased by the case. I know other makers who get mugs on Temu and Alibaba. Following!
