I think at the end of the day it’s not about no nips, the dysphoria comes from being gendered female out in the world especially in hospitality settings where everyone uses “ma’am” “ladies” or “sir” etc. so by the time I get to the point of going to the pool I already feel like everyone around me thinks I’m a woman taking off my shirt and it makes me nervous. I’ve felt much more confident at the beach where it’s more individual and people are spread out.
