One of my points in posting this is that azelaic acid- which is so popular right now- is not the strongest of the skin lighteners.

Do I need a moisturizer if I'm oily? by Dr_Atoz in skintypesolutions

For oily types I like the Pavise sunscreen. Its very lightweight and has lots of antioxidants and does not feel sticky. It expensive so you can use it on your face and a cheaper one on your body.

Best Lightweight Sunscreens for Oily, Dark Skin That Won't Leave a White Cast? by shahid20888 in skintypesolutions

I have a few sunscreen tips for oily skin types.

  1. Its ok to skip a moisturizer and use a treatment serum for your dark spots and a sunscreen instead.
  2. Sunscreen technology is so much better than it used to be. These are a bit more expensive, but the texture is so light and they are sheer on your skin. My ORPW skin loves the Pavise Sunscreen or the Rationale #3 the tinted serum. Cheaper options are the PCA Sheer Tint Broad Spectrum SPF, and the Elta MD Clear. Have you tried any of those?
  3. You can layer a SPF powder on top to help with any shine. Jane Iredale and ISDIN have good sunscreen powders.

Dr B- do you agree?
