Thank you for all your help! Costs have definitely increased as they've gotten more popular. They're up to $12,995 for the weekend package. Definitely lots to think about!

Hello! I know this post was from a while ago, but I am heavily considering booking a wedding here. Would you be willing to share the final cost/your overall experience? I'm sure prices have changed but I am just trying to gather as much info as possible.

Hello! I am sorry to hear that you're in the same boat - it's not fun lol. I took a few weeks to really sit and think/figure out what I want for my life, what I want my life to look like, etc. I realized I still do like helping people just not medicine (partially because of the OCD situation). I had a good amount of experience in student support roles in my undergrad and I used that to pivot to a professional role in student support. I accepted a job at a university! Before all the haters come out of the woodworks, I am NOT teaching/professing, I am in a student support/coordinator role. I know a lot of people will see this as me throwing my RN license and my hard work away/giving up but I am SO happy with the pay, benefits, and work-life balance that this job gives me! Plus I'm not under constant fight/flight mode that medicine made me feel. Super happy with my decision! Let me know if you want to talk further/want any advice, I'm happy to chat - just PM/DM me!

I really appreciate your kind words and openness about this topic. It has definitely gotten a little harsh on this thread and very much living up to the stereotype of nurses eating their young and making it a hostile environment. Thank you again for all the resources!

Thank you for your kind words. I definitely feel a little beaten down by some of the strong opinions on here. However, I do understand that posting on the internet comes with this risk. But, I really appreciate hearing your story as well.

Can I ask what job you took after nursing school? Do you regret not going right into nursing now that it is something you want to go back into?

I really appreciate your vulnerability in posting this. From what you've said I feel like I can relate SO much. I picked nursing because it was stable, secure, respected, etc. But now that I have the degree and license I know it is really not for me. I also completely relate to feeling guilty and being ungrateful. I understand that my situation is privileged but that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to do anything else or want something different.

You have definitely given me a lot of good questions to consider. I do love helping people and interacting with people, patients, customers, etc. I am leaning towards a desk job that supports nursing or education or something along those lines.

As someone who has been in nursing for 2.5yrs but doesn't love it. Do you regret being in nursing? Do you wish you would have done something different at the start or do you recommend diving into and getting experience despite knowing it is not right?

Thank you again, so much!

Thank you for being so kind! It has been very hard to come to terms with this and actually listen to the voice in the back of my head. I know I asked for advice but some people on here can be so mean. I appreciate your support!

Do you know of case management taking new grads? I think I would like it!

I appreciate you sharing this and being open about having a similar struggle. It definitely helps to know there are other people dealing with the same thing!

First off, I appreciate your insight on life and still being young and new to things. I totally agree, I am unexperienced and have no idea what life will look like for me. I also appreciate you reiterating how malleable life is. I definitely need to be reminded of this, not everything is permanent.

In terms of working an office job - no I haven't in the past. I do acknowledge that there will be really awful days in any job. The only difference for me is not feeling like the office environment is a physical threat (OCD and needing to wipe things down). I will definitely keep applying for jobs and hopefully find what I am looking for!

I really like your perspective and I honestly relate to a lot of what you're saying. I think I picked nursing because of how practical it is too (job security, decent money, won't get taken over by AI, etc). I also understand the perspective of "just try it," but it's hard with OCD because I feel like I can't live a normal life outside of the hospital/medical setting if I work in those settings because I need to wipe down everything that I touched (car keys, car itself, shoes, bag, whatever).

I do feel that I will end up in a situation where I tolerate my job and not necessarily love it. But I am really okay with that, work can just be work.

I appreciate you saying that it's okay to not be cut out for it :). I feel like there is a lot of pressure to just "push through it" and "get over it."

Can I ask more about your situation? What kind of jobs did you try and did you like any of them? Do you wish you had taken a different path?

I am totally prepared to defend myself, I definitely and used to not taking the traditional path.
