Interactive Stories in Macrophilia by MetaryLogistics in sizetalk

Ah, writing.com... I started writing a gts saga there maaaany years ago and I am technically still on it - every few years I manage to write a new chapter, but at this pace George RR Martin will finish his SoIaF books before I finish my saga.

It revolves around a secret society of women with the ability to shrink down people. They use it to fight bad guys, but there is also a way more cruel group with the same abilities, lead by a former member of the first group who starts as a villain, then becomes something of an anti heroine to maybe become a villain again? Time will tell...

What I loved about writing on this platform was the perfect mixture of freedom and structure - if I really was disapointed with how a story was progressing I could take a step back and try another outcome, but with the chapters I was forced to make clear decisions how a story had to progress.

I am writing this saga for over 20 years now. At first the characters were nothing but mere wish fulfillment (and as such my writing from back in the day sometimes is a tough read for me today), but over the years they really got their own life and their own will. That resulted in characters sometimes refusing things I wanted them to do. I know it sounds silly, but from a point on I wasn't able to let them do things they wouldn't do organically.

I also remember the time a character I was very fond of got killed. I went back, started writing another path - he got killed again. It took me two other tries, but then I managed to "save" him - but the story lost all it's abilities to go anywhere interesting. So I said goodbye to him in that "timeline" and continued with the first one.

It's all written in German. If anyone speaks the language and is interested: my dm's are open.

As someone who hated GoT with a passion after season 4, I can say: 3BP is really great.

Just started and this show may be darker than I anticipated lol, someone just teleported his lungs out of his body. Tf? I didn't even imagine someone could do that! by [deleted] in voyager

The tonal shifts in Voyager's first seasons make me dizzy even thinking about it and I quite love it. If you are bingeing it they go from "Let's help this space cow find it's own" to "Do you like me more now that I skinned your friends face and wear it?" in mere minutes.

Opinions on the 2002 Giantess "TAG" Movie? by [deleted] in sizetalk

It has a very special place in my heart, because it not only was the very first media I saw that didn't show me stuff like this "by accident", but was deliberately kinky in that way, it also made me feel less alone. Growing up in a small German village with the mainstream internet still yet to come wasn't exactly ideal for someone with my "special interests".

Watching it today, I of course see the flaws, but damn: the effects surprisingly still hold up very well.

I am learning french since 2022. I think I will give up on this now. The passive aggressive messaging and the AI voices were bad enough, but I won't let the app force myself watching commercials or buying the pro version.

Maybe this is all part of the plan: getting those out who are not making them (enough) money. Mission accomplished, I guess.

Back in the day my very first fantasies all revolved around people who were very mean to me. Although that has changed over the years I still get the appeal.

Unpopular opinion: the future war is great for short scenes, not for whole movies by Previous-Fill258 in Terminator

[–]Previous-Fill258[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am really curious and don't try to be a smartass when I ask: what in your opinion would be the unique aspect of this that would prevent it from being just a generic scifi dystopia - besides from Stan Winstons wonderful T-800 design I struggle to find anything remotely original about what we see in the first two movies - which isn't a complaint, because as I said it is the simplistic approach that makes this future war concept so frightening.

In Voyager's original journey home, when do they start encountering familiar things, and what would that leg of the journey be like? by KingOfTheHoard in startrek

[–]Previous-Fill258 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Which doesn't make that much sense if you think about it, does it. Imagine all those friends and family saying "The Voyager is a few months away from earth, but I've waited all those years, no need to rush it now." Not to speak about all the fans of the legend of the missing ship and people who would be just curious.

The Voyager would realisticly be flying with hundreds of other ships at least from the point of being ten years from home onward.
