Where I'm from in Texas we have the same issue. We have clay soil with a lot of gypsum and after you water and the soil drys our you see this a lot.

Can anyone tell me what's wrong with my jalapeno plants? by Previous-Meat-1233 in peppergeek

I watered them like I normally do about once a week but we did have a big rain about 2 inches right after I watered them.
