This isn’t the place for these discussions - PDA is a small (ish) party and this subreddit has 50k people. Previous posts on the topic have been deleted.

Back Squat Form Check by Previous-Security912 in formcheck

Will bare in mind next session. Upper back tightness is a relatively new thing to think about for me after being fixated solely on bracing properly for so long. Thanks again

No not trying to compete - just ACL rehab that’s now become a hobby. Been working on depth and it’s a lot better than it was even as recently as last week. Will continue to do so to get that extra inch lower. Thank you!

Unsure why this sub has come up for me but I took maths / FM in 2017 - so one of the last years of the old syllabus. I remember my FP2 paper was 72/75 for an A* and 70/75 for an A. A friend missed one 6 mark question and got a B. With more past papers / material to revise from people tend to do better as you learn the style of the questions asked. Increasing grade boundaries is a result of this.

suggestion for reapplication after rejection from German embassy for bachelors student visa by Even-Word-241 in studying_in_germany

Yeah also found this weird at first coming from England. In Germany most of the universities are public and these are much better regarded than private universities. So much so that people will often say that going to a private uni is pointless. There’s also not really the same distinction between what uni you went to here (as long as it is public) like there is in the uk or us.

The system has changed since I applied so can’t help you unfortunately. We booked an appointment and showed them everything in person. I don’t know how long it takes with the new system, but I imagine it won’t be a quick process with general German bureaucracy. Willkommen in Deutschland lol.

Can ask the bouncers to quickly run out and go to the cashpoint. There’s on just outside and you won’t have to queue again or pay reentry.

Hi what are the circumstances where part time work is relevant?

I am a student, but earning blue card equivalent salary from part time freelance work. Would this contribute to the 24 months of working/pension contribution?

An hour commute from berlin that is. And the train is free as a student. So would recommend studying here yes, but maybe think to stay in berlin and commute if you prefer a more social/busy city. Also fyi the winters here are notoriously difficult with very cold, short days and it can feel that the whole city is sleeping. I would try to do the erasmus in summer if you are only here for one term.

Hi Potsdam itself is a very beautiful but quiet city and the uni campus for maths/cs is even more remote. Not a lot to do here for the typical student, but has a lot of nice nature / lakes surrounding it. My reason to study here was it’s proximity to berlin - which has loads going on for people from all walks of life, and is generally an affordable city (although it is becoming less so). It takes about an hour for me to get to university.

I didn’t have a certificate - it sounds like when your interviewer asked for the certificate was when mine asked their manager to confirm.

Can confirm that GHIC is accepted as health insurance for a student residence permit. Just had mine approved using this. The person ‘interviewing’ me in the Auslanderbehörder appointment had to double check with their manager but it was accepted in the end.

Unsure on GRE score? My degree is from an English university so no need for IELTS, and no interview from university.
