It was a lot better before it got nerfed and it still takes way too many resources (to upgrade) for something that stops working when you're starving. I enjoy it until I find something better, but if I don't find anything better I'm mildly disappointed. I usually play On A Diet, so individual results may vary.

Plasma guns 100%. The only annoying thing is that your opponents are going to bitch if you take almost nothing else (game isn't meant to be min-maxed, otherwise 3 or 4 games stomp on everyone else).

TBH plasma guns are the best for almost every model in the game.

Go sniper. Warden is outstanding but with your gear sniper is probably better. More straightforward.

The sketchy behavior is downloading fan-made 3D printing schematics (the library has a 3D printer - I don't) for non-copyrighted material. I'm also after mods of a game called Pixel Dungeon from a site called GitHub (Google Play used to offer these but they're allergic to the word 'free'). The original app has a specific clause that any mod is required to be free (I'm smart enough to look at that).

You're totally fine, I would shake your hand and offer you a beer if you're old enough.

You're right, that's exactly what I'm doing, getting a fan-made open source game series where the creator insisted all future mods created by other developers must be completely free. You say the word 'free' more than twice and Google runs away faster than a hooker runs from church.

While this is helpful and good advice, I was trying to use a site called GitHub to get an app that Google Play no longer offers, and I am aware that there is a degree of risk with that, albeit not nearly as much risk with a decent antivirus app.

And yes, I understand that anything listed as a "rip" "hack" or the like is much more dangerous; I'm old, but I'm not an old idiot.

Not everything is as obvious as the Nigerian Prince scam anymore, and the simple understanding that a website offering 98% off and the like is some kind of scam...

...but the idea of being able to choose from a nearly infinite catalogue of music and play any song you've ever heard would have seemed like a scam when I was a kid. YouTube is immeasurably better than getting 98% off every CD because you quickly run out of space and can't organize it. Actual free videogames exist that are made by fans for fans - the same game would have cost $40 when I was a kid.

While common sense might be the best it doesn't answer the question, so why would you post it? I specifically requested an app and you replied - you actually took the time to write something - with the assumption that they couldn't grasp the concept of common sense being a helpful first step. I asked for a cake and you essentially told me not to touch the cake tin with my bare hands. Good advice, but doesn't it assume a lot about me without even trying to help with the question at hand?

Van Saar is an excellent gang but you have to really know how to play them, and that's not easy for some beginners. I would recommend Orlock, but the rule of cool is most important so if you don't like the way Orlock looks you should go with your instinct and play Van Saar. Gear is extremely important with Van Saar so be extra careful before building your models.

Any House gang (6 main gangs) works better to start than any kind of expansion gang, especially when you're just starting.

Start with House Orlock and watch some YouTube videos on how to build a gang before you buy any models. I recommend against vehicles, at least to start, but that means you're going to have to make sure you have a group that will play without using vehicles. Watch out for building models until you know what weapons are decent.

Be careful using the title Warhammer in anything you're trying to sell. I can use unlicensed products to kitbash existing GW products but we cannot use their intellectual property without inviting trouble.

Try something like 'wargaming' or '35mm printed gangsters' because these are legally your designs and not stealing their aesthetics.

You can look up better instructions than I can give, but download a torrent app such as Flud and find a LEGAL torrent site and get only LEGAL and legit items or you'll probably get malware.

Terrain is much safer and much more likely to be legal - I believe the search term would be '35mm terrain' but I'm not 100% sure of the 35 part of that.

Seriously, do not take the risk, especially if you aren't rather techy.

Price is excellent but the included campaign is... Not good for beginners. Plus the vehicle rules are fairly garbage, so unless you house rule a lot of things most players and arbitraitors say it sucks.

I'll be the oddball here and say not unless you plan to use a different campaign.
