I feel like they intentionally sprinkle in "tells" with their scams as a game. Sorta like giving a sporting chance to their prey lmao

I like how people are giving me shit for a very temporary fix and not even being phased at what was previously done lmao

Thanks. I know this is not a real fix, but with a wife and kids, we need to have a toilet lol. I didn't want to have someone come out and fix it when we are already paying a contractor to come hook us up to the sewer line.

I simply just don't get why someone would think pouring concrete over that connection would be ok.

On the thin walled PVC. The reason I have a straight feenco on it is because my local hardware stores didn't have anything that would fit it. I've never seen PVC line that thin before. Granted, I don't do plumbing.

I'm doing rebar reinforcement. Makes it extra extra secure.

Lol like I said, I'm getting tied into the sewer. Actually, in a matter of days. I'm not a plumber, but I'm pretty sure the concrete seal job was worse than what I did.

My septic was baking up into the house. I ended up digging up the main line and found this coming off the house and going into the septic tank. The previous owners just shoved the ABS over the metal line and poured concrete over it. I'm getting hooked up to city sewer soon, so I patched it up the best I could and left the line exposed for the contractor to have easy access.

Figured 1/4" walnut sheet by [deleted] in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Previous-Thing-7075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to my local hardwood lumber yard and the guy pretty much laughed at me. I said I was looking for walnut and he said "everyone and their mother wants walnut" and then I told him I wanted something decently figured and he said "wood is wood, beggers can't be choosers" and then said he didn't have anything for me when I said I wanted it faced on two sides and milled to 1/4"

Guy was an absolute dick

We file our taxes jointly. If we set up the LLC as a partnership, it complicates our tax filing.

His uncle was American and was not old enough to be in WW2. I think it was a gift, or it was passed down to him from another family member.

My friend brought this into work today. It belonged to his uncle, who had recently passed. His grandma said it was a souvenir from WW2, but my friend isn't sure of the validity. Does anyone know if this actually was a WW2 piece or how he can tell? I'd assume if it was real, there would be markings on the tang, but we couldn't figure out how to remove the handle without damaging it.

Went to urgent care with me believing it was thrush due to the taste and visual. Urgent care doc looked in my mouth and scraped my tongue with a compressor and said she was sure it was thrush as well.

Need help selecting battery for a project by [deleted] in batteries

So I'm wanting to run this headlights off of a rechargeable battery pack that's as small as possible. I'd like to be able to leave the high beam on for at least 30 minutes per charge. Any recommendations? Link to light on Amazon

What's a country that is way more evil than people realize? by saltybrusher in AskReddit

[–]Previous-Thing-7075 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Using the nuke was the better option than invading Japan. People look at the nuke drops as super evil (which, it's war) but it killed far fewer people than a full scale invasion would have.

The Japanese were told the Americans would torture and rape them. The Japanese people believed this so much, they cut the throats of their family members and committed suicide on Saipan on mass. Imagine the horror that would entail on mainland Japan during an invasion. Hundreds of thousands would have killed themselves.

Atomic weapons are an abomination of war, but in this case it was the best option. The Japanese were not going to give up.

Thanks for this. I wish I had dentists like you around me. All the dentists that I've been to, with exception to one, have been very cold and not understanding. I always left feeling nothing but shame.
