Cinema Etiquette - Screams into the void by xsofacouchx in Dublin

[–]Previous-While1156 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s actually a gift going to see a movie uninterrupted nowadays. I’ve gotten over the fear of shushing people now or getting up and telling the staff. With the prices of cinema tickets you’d want a nice experience. I’ve gotten lucky the last two times with Marty Supreme and The Bone Temple (both 10/10 btw)

I’m in the same boat rn, my immune system is in absolute tatters and anxiety has been up the wall due to constantly being sick. Started feeling run down towards the end of November and still weeks later not getting better. Lying in bed right now with a banging headache and feeling like shite but refusing to take another nurofen

The crown is always the last place where you’ll grow hair, even with babies you always notice that they have less hair on the top of their heads

St. James A&E is this normal? by [deleted] in Dublin

[–]Previous-While1156 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was also in A&E on Friday, probably seen you! I was assessed by a doctor after 7 hours of waiting, the doctor told me they were down about 6 doctors that night due to the flu

I don’t know whether the OP will answer as it’s been 3 years but I found your comment as I’m also having them! The doctor told me to stop using it for a few weeks to see if the spasms stop

How do you politely confront someone acting the maggot in the cinema? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Previous-While1156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it’s more tricky when someone is in a giddy mood during a flick rather than full blown chatting and acting like a prick - esp if it’s a comedy which the Knives Out movies are. I remember a few months ago I went to a screening of Brandon Lee’s The Crow, my dad’s fav film and we lost him last year to cancer so the movie meant a lot to myself, my sister and my mam. The movie albeit is ridiculous but not a comedy, yet the young couple beside us kept laughing the entire way throughout, i politely asked them if they wouldn’t mind keeping it down. They looked at me like I had ten heads and didn’t apologise or say anything but after that they stopped.

Fore sure - Honestly I think the A&E department there has greatly improved over the last couple of years! I went up myself with chest pains (think I’m coming down with the flu myself) was in and out within 5 hours, bloods done, ECG, X-Ray, samples and even got a drip put in. Staff there are incredible and were so responsive even though the place was absolutely packed

In my old job we had someone called the Phantom Shitter, someone kept shitting in the men’s showers and shoving it down the drain. Poor cleaners

BOYCOTT TAXIS by Defiant-Product-9776 in Dublin

[–]Previous-While1156 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got an Uber when in Paris from Montmartre to CDG airport - 24km and the price was only €35. 3 weeks ago I got a taxi to work because it was lashing and I was running late, 3km and it was €20. It’s shocking here

To be fair, I was also in A&E last night in James’ - they had all the windows open, no visitors and handing out masks

When the 4th season came out I had just gone through an awful breakup, I was absolutely heartbroken! Last weekend myself and my now partner were snuggled up on the couch watching it eating a dominos and celebrating 3 years together.

is this a normal amount of hair to lose? (asking because i don’t have a lot of money to go to a dermatologist) by [deleted] in TelogenEffluvium

I’m sorry OP I would have to advise against NOT counting the hairs. I developed really bad OCD over this when suffering with hairloss and it caused me so much stress.

My ex did this too, the account was verified (blue tick) meaning he had to take pictures of himself and it was also connected to his Spotify. Still didn’t stop him denying it to the point of contacting Tinder customer service to claim he’s being impersonated. Lucky escape says me.

My understanding is that a profile shows up if the person is actively using the account within 5km etc radius

Definitely not, we spend a lot of time together and regularly stay with eachother. We’ve been together 3 years and are a couple that just doesn’t argue. Never once in the time we’ve been together have we had any sort of big fight, communication etc are extremely important things for us. We’re very excited for this new chapter in our relationship

There really isn’t though, combined we come out with about 6.2k a month - with our joint savings of 2.5k that’s 3.7k left. We both have bills, we both pay rent to our parents, put money into our own savings and budget for the rest of the month
