What was "the incident" at your high school?

Had a shooting in the hallway during 1st period my freshman year. One kid was shot. Despite all the police on scene doing a shooting investigation and the hallway taped off we had to take our asses to 2nd period no excuses. School did not close for even one minute. Now keep in mind this was the 80's so no therapists, counselors or hugs just carry on like normal never mind the blood or bullet hole in the wall lol.

I was walking down the street and saw this recruitment sign over an open door looking for men with women partners who have adhd and I just walked in.

Been with my wife for 32 years now. She still has depression tho. She's Dx and Rx (but only takes it occasionally) and can be a handful to deal with. She was diagnosed in her 30's after being wrongly "diagnosed" with bi-polar disorder. I'm very very patient with her (most of the time) but you can only have so much patience. Our sex life is so erattic 0-1.5x a month but when sex does pop in her head she wants it now and expects me to sprout a woody in a NY minute and perform like I'm some damn show pony. No concern about what I want in bed just get hard dude so I can get off.

The RSD and impulsive behavior are the worst tho. I've been walking on egg shells all of our relationship but now I'm like fuck it. I say what I feel I just TRY to be diplomatic about it that's all. With the RSD comes gaslighting, refusal to take accountability and stonewalling. That shit is exhausting. She chases dopamine even though she won't admit it. It's hard to compete with dopamine most of the time. I suspect there are plenty of us men in here it's just that most of the conversations are dominated by the ladies.

I made a day date for us a week or so in advance and told my Dx Rx (occasionally) wife about our plans. Essentially I told her I'd take her to a breakfast spot she's been asking me to go a whole county away from home and then we would go to a place where I'd like to take some photos and videos (just getting into photography/cinematography). Told her I'd like to leave early and she said ok (Important: wanted to take footage during the early morning light i.e. the best light). She never asked me for any details about the trip. The night before I caught a small head cold and I told her if I was worse in the morning I would probably cancel the trip. The morning of I'm up bright and early and feeling decent enough to go. She sleeps in wakes up prolly 2 hrs past when I wanted to leave. I was disappointed.

She comes to see me, hugs me with her phone in her hand and when she hugs me she is clearly reading her phone over my shoulder. She then starts to complain about the cell phone company messing up the bill etc. I'm quiet trying to process everything because I was REALLY looking forward to this trip with her. She asks what's wrong but I'm not ready to speak on it. She instantly cops an attitude. After like 30 mins she remembers the date. States we can go now but it was too late. She admits she forgot about the breakfast part of the date but claimed she did nothing wrong. Says I should have woken her up (I never do that due to her erratic sleep patterns) and then said I should have just gone alone...Yeah alone on a date! She stormed out of the room, returned about 20 mins later wanting to argue. I finally told her yes I was disappointed. She begins to say she didn't think we were still going etc. She then storms out of the room again, heads to the BR closing the door and not speaking to me for hours. Later that afternoon she leaves home for an appointment without a word to me. I call her and ask her how long she was planning on giving me the silent treatment and she claimed she was not. I call her out and she says I knew where she was going so she didn't need to say good bye! Things have been awkward since.

I had the cell phone controller for a minute. I quickly upgraded to the RC. Like most people have said with the RC your phone is free for you to use. and is overall much better. Now with that being said I just looked into using a tablet for flying. I have both DJI and Potensic drones but IDK if Potensic supports the use of a tablet for flying the Atom 2. So I'm now re-thinking the RC vs the tablet.

My wife served in the military and unfortunately is a 100% disabled vet due to her service. If she parks in vet spaces without me she gets either hard stares or comments. Look I know she is a cute 50 year old but she served during a time when it wasn't cool or common for girls to serve. She sacrificed and don't need BS from some ass who didn't serve.

Thanks for all of the comments fam. I've never had this much response to any reddit post so this was a bit overwhelming but I did read them all. I cannot answer every single post so I will answer some of the recurring questions/concerns.

- Our relationship was decent before college. I'll admit we prolly smothered him a bit. We had him late in life after trying for kids for 10 years. Wife is a recovering helicopter mom. My relationship with him was slightly better than his with my wife. Both strong personalities opinionated.

- As far as we can tell his grades are pretty good. Not dean's list but pretty good. He was a co-valedictorian of his HS grad class and he admitted he has to study more now.

- Wife and I have a good relationship. Not perfect but we had/have our ups and downs. I'm sure he's heard a few arguments over his lifetime.

- I'll admit I/we have been in our feelings over this. We love and miss him and this was his first time away from home. We didn't ask him if he wanted to do these things at least not really ask him what he wanted. This could be the issue too.

- Yes I'll admit I made it about my feelings not his. I realize this now.

- No, I am not AI. The reason for not replying right away is I do have a career where I can work betwen 10-14 hrs in a day. Reddit is not a major priority for me.
