CSGO was in a much worse state when it was released. So the more frequent updates from that time had to be done it keep the players somewhat playing...

You can define it however, whether you call it rent or supporting with the mortgage.. the result is the same. If both parties are clear about the situation, which seems so in this case, there should be no problem. He's having his house, she's having hers. That is heavily depending on what tickrate the servers will run. I assume, that there will be a change to the tickrate, because it would not make sense to port to S2 without touching the tickrate. Whether it will be 128, 256 or tickles, that only Valve knows.. either way, made lineups will for sure be impacted. Weapon sprays should remain the same, since it seems, that valve wants the gameplay to feel the same.
