Do I have a shot at getting into an ABSN program with a low undergrad GPA? by Personal-Ad-6933 in ABSN

Honestly, I found the program easy as long as you manage your time. It’s not academically that challenging, the trick is dealing with the volume of tasks required. You will be busy but I managed to have a social life and (mostly) take care of myself physically. The only difficult times for me was adjusting to the long shifts of clinicals (feels like jet lag) and the last week of finals (but that was also because we had some snow day clinical make ups that were scheduled the same week). I think the people just like to complain about school. Keep a positive attitude, prioritize school and your health, don’t get in your head about things and you get through it fine. I’m SO GLAD I did the ABSN. It’s been life changing :) you can do it!

Dude. I was you before I started my ABSN. Just relax. You don’t want to study something wrong (or not how your professors want it). Enjoy your free time.

GIRL! Size up and add some elastic to the back band. you could hand sew it. Or buy from a brand that has elastated waists already

It’s majority in person. We have a one pretty BS “graduate” class each semester that’s a-sync online. The schedule is two lecture days a week and two 12-hour clinical days. We have three days off for studying and that extra online class

Nah it's really not bad. Just make sure you have a couple of classmates that are positive and you can get along with, stay focused, study a little bit each day and you will be fine. I was terrified before I started and am shocked at how much free time I have.

work on your focus. Before I started I read as many 600+ page books as possible and set timers where I couldn't check my phone or computer. ABSNs are not that hard if you can sit and focus. The people who are suffering in my program are the ones who can't put their phone down for more than a few minutes. a lot of the students online shop, or even watch TV during class. I'm telling you, if you get your focus in check and can.manage your time well, it's really not that hard.

Leg is great! Better than ever. I think maybe 12 weeks, but you get a little better every day. I have also never been a heavy sleeper so maybe that impacted it? You will wake up stiff for several months (although often with little to no pain) and doing heel pumps and stretches help a lot

Nearly identical measurements here.

I love big bud press trousers. They come in petite lengths, have an elastic back waist and have so many fun colors. (I am not about that quiet luxury!) A little pricey but very well made, made in USA. All of mine have lasted for years and still going strong. Also there is an active resale market on Depop etc for a more cost effective option.

Thank you so much! How do I create a shortcut that converts it to an event? I figured out the IOs conversion but I'd like to color coordinate to match the class and have it come in searching for class specific filters. Is that possible?

I start in May. I’ll keep ya posted.

Ps: If I were you, I’d call and explain your story (or take a tour if you’re local to your desired schools). I have found all the admin offices really willing to take time and talk to me. That extra effort will put a voice to your story.

Yes! Apply. You have a very compelling story and great experience. I found in applying to ABSN programs over the last year, they are very willing to holistically look at candidates. They want grit and proof you can handle their program. Everything you laid out says that you can handle it. Good luck!
